Everything changed on her 21st birthday. A curse casted by witches centuries ago set things in motion, things she could have never imagined. A past that Colette has no clue about has come back to steal her away.
When Hunter, her destined but very unexpected mate, arrives, she is at a complete loss. She must learn to forget an old love and how to make room for a new love.
The curse is being recast and Colette must stop it in order to save the wolves, all the while finding who she really is.
This is a New Adult, there is some subject matter not suitable for those under the age of 18
O-M-G! I could have read this book in one sitting. Seriously! But life happened and it took me 2 nights instead.
First off, Becca Vincenza where have you been all my life? This book. These characters. My heart.
So, we know fro the blurb that Collette & Griffin are NOT going to be together. This fact did not prevent me from turning into a blubbering, hot mess when Collette does find her true mate, Hunter. Box of kleenx later, I moved on. Thankfully Hunter is all sorts of hot and wild so it did lighten the blow and make moving on a bit easier.
But seriously, Hexed Hearts is not just about witches and werewolves. It is about discovering one's true being and accepting it. These characters are all complex with deep backstories lending themselves to the current story. Becca Vincenza can certainly weave a tale! I have discovered my new favorite author.
Her presence soothes his wolf but she’s keeping secrets that are pull her away. Hunter must decide if he can live with secrets and fight for the mate he’d never thought he’d have or if the curse will win.
(New Adult. Contains language and sexual content. 18+)
I fell in love with Collette and Hunter in Hexed Hearts. While Hexed Hearts is told from Collette's POV, this one is from Hunter's POV. but don't think this is the same story because it's not. Becca Vincenza delves into the wild mind of Hunter and delivers a beautiful, sexy, very male rendition. Thiink of it as a behind-the-scenes look at your favorite book.
Even if you haven't read Hexed Hearts you can still follow Hunters heart. But I do recommend you read both to grasp the entire story. With both POVs you get it all. The challenges and struggles each went through in finding and protecting their mate.
It was a nice change of pace to get the guy's perspective; especially the very wild, very hot, very sexy, Hunter. Seriously ladies. Talk about book boyfriends. Be still my heart.
All hormones a side, Becca Vincenza is a fantastic writer whose characters come to life and weave themselves into your heart (and dreams...rarrr). Another 5 star read from an extremely talented author.
Audrey was taken from her father, hidden away from the world, and tortured for five years. She was rescued, but is she really safe, or is there someone else waiting to betray her? Can she trust those who saved her? Can she learn to accept who she really is?
Stone was on a routine mission to extract valuable information from a rival clan of paranormals. Instead, he and his team find something much more valuable: a scarred, damaged young woman who holds many secrets, and whose power is beyond anything they could ever have imagined. There is much more to Audrey than meets the eye and Stone is determined to protect her.
Audrey and Stone are about to find out it’s hard to know who to trust.
The book has it all: shifters, suspense, espionage, and romance. The MC, Audrey, is magnificent. As the story opens, Audrey is broken and damaged so brutally that my heart literally ached for her. To see her pull down her walls and blossom into the beautiful creature she was meant to be in the end (no spoiler) was inspiring. Love can and does make her a fierce warrior.
The other MC, Stone, is no less damaged but in an entirely different manner. The weight and guilt he carries is palpable. The connection he and Audrey share radiates from the pages of the book.
My favorite character those is Nixie. I love her sass and boldness. When she walks into a room she owns it! And she is a total bad ass in her own right.
Cannot wait to see what is really going on with Elijah and i hope that book 2 sheds some light on him. I find him very mysterious and frankly I don't trust him.
