After growing up in the Philippines, I now live in California with my husband and two girls. My husband survived two bouts of cancer, AML Leukemia and Mucoid Carcinoma; hence, the inspiration for Unbreakable. I thank the good Lord for healing my husband, twice. It can’t get any better than that.
Our oldest, Andrea is a junior in APU. When she looks at my computer, the first thing out of her mouth is “Mom! What are you looking at? Dad!” Our youngest, Allysa is a freshman in high school. The few times she passed by me and looked over my shoulder when I was writing, her reaction was, “Mom! I’m telling dad!” There you have it; I have two double agents in my house. What happened to loyalty?
If my husband is the ying to my yang, Andrea is the Marlin to my Dory while Allysa is the Buzz Lightyear to my Woody. I love the beach, but I hate the sand; I love to travel, but I hate to fly; I love to eat but, I hate gaining weight (all women can relate to this); and so goes my little quirks in life.
Am I crazy? Well, the jury is still out on that one; however, I’d like to think if I can make one person smile with my craziness, it’s all worth it.

- EXCERPT -You’d ask what kind of psychic I am. Well, I’ll tell you: I’m the shitty kind. I see maybe ten percent of what I should, and I can’t change a fucking second of it. I see what I see, and then I brace because it’s going to happen. There isn’t a thing I can do.
Believe me, I’ve tried. It’s a waste of time, and it weighs too much on my heart.
And on my mind.
Let’s not forget about the tenuous hold I have on sanity. I just thank the universe I live alone now. How many times could I have woken a roommate, looking like a horror movie reject before I booked a one-way ticket to a padded cell? I’ve already lived through one involuntary incarceration under an insane Primary’s thumb; a repeat stay is not in my future.
I’d rather chew a bullet.
Hiding my abilities when under constant surveillance is almost impossible. I’m a Seer, born with the ability to observe things that will come to pass in vivid Technicolor inside my little noggin, hence that lovely dream. I also sometimes randomly electrocute people without meaning to. Well, sometimes I mean to, but not all the time, and that is pretty scary. If people weren’t already looking at me funny before, which they are because as a Seer, my eyes freak people way the fuck out, they would after I zapped the crap out of them randomly.
Then there’s the phasing. As a fledgling, I sometimes transitioned from my resting form to the ethereal without even trying. Meaning, when I got angry or upset, I would burst into flames, and my wings would pop out. I got angry a lot in those days.
Yes, I am a bloodthirsty little thing. No, I don’t have any problem inflicting violence when I deem it necessary. Yes, ‘when I’m pissed’ falls under the necessary column.
Okay, I should explain the eye thing. You see (pun intended) my eyes are a very pale, milky green. All the time. You remember old westerns where the old guy is blind, and he has those freaky eyes where the iris and pupil nearly blend into the sclera? Yep, you guessed it, that’s what’s going on here.
Only I’m not blind.
And I wear contacts when I go outside because if I don’t people assume I’m blind, for one, and their face says they are squicked way the hell out, for numero dos. Also, when I’m pissed they kind of, well, glow.
Like an incandescent bulb, glow.
So the fact I’m not exactly human is really fucking obvious.
Hello, my name is Aurelia Constantine, and I am a Phoenix.

Life is full of expectations. For Brady Coldwell itâs always been about the game. Hockey is and always will be, his life. His family sacrificed everything to get him here and he wonât let them down. He knows whatâs expected of him. Natalie Banks is no different. She too knows what it means to have everyone sacrifice for you. She knows about the debt thatâs left owing in the end and the price you pay for making up your own mind. But when an innocent mistake lands them as roommates, neither of them is prepared for the feelings they have or the consequences of their actions. How do you negotiate matters of the heart? How do you say no when it simply feels so right?
I am the mother of two beautiful girls who are growing up so fast, the wife of a cute guy in a uniform (my own personal hero), and a writer.
My family will tell you it doesn't exactly fall into that order. Especially around dinner time when I "Cook" from a takeout menu with my face plastered to my computer. I also have two cats who I adore more than I should, like more than people I know, and a dog. He is a beagle who is naughty but just so darned cute. He gives you that little beagle face and then steals your slice of pizza.
I have a busy mind and even busier fingers. I can write fast and keep track of a large cast, but I can't remember why I'm at the grocery store. I try to write lists but they always end up being notes for books or indie bands. I LOVE INDIE MUSIC! I talk to myself in the car and sing too loud for my skill level. The invention of Bluetooth has made talking in the car less awkward but if you hear me singing, run. I love writing. I love my characters like they are my friends and I am telling their version of the truth.
My worst flaw is the horrid English accent which I read everything with. If I read aloud it comes too. I'm not English, so I can't even do the accent which makes it awkward for anyone who is nearby.
My favourite authors are Robert Jordan and Jane Austen and Robert Mccammon and Jim Crace. I think Stephen King and Dean Koontz have the most unique imaginations. I have the hardest time not LOVING Catcher In The Rye by J.D. Salinger. I know all the serial killers have a copy but I adored that novel. It made me feel a thousand different things and one of them was more alive. (And not in the least bit serial killer-ish) When I grow up I want to be James Patterson or Nora Roberts. I aspire to be like them, always trying to hone my skills and work harder. My genres are all over the map. I have Paranormal Romance, Contemporary Romance, Science Fiction, Erotica (under Sophie Starr my porn name so my mom doesn't know), Thrillers, and even some Romantic Comedies. If you would like to reach me for whatever reason, please visit me at my facebook page -facebook.com/TaraBrownAuthor. You can also email me at email@example.com Thanks for checking me out and I hope you got lost in something I wrote or it made you so HAPPY/SAD/BLISSFUL/TURNED ON/ANGRY/EXCITED/FRIGHTENED/HORRIFIED/MAD that you couldn't believe it. The list of what is coming out this year is not completed. I will keep my Facebook page as up to date as I can. Here is a short breakdown of my genres and pen names. TARA BROWN- My main page and essentially my brand. Books published under Tara Brown will be adult and mostly suspense and romance. The Lonely and Single Lady Spy Series are among those. Not intended for young readers, at all. 18 and over. AE WATSON - My pen name for Young Adult books. Born, HERE, The Seventh Day, White Girl Problems, etc. This is my page that is safe for YA readers of a mature reading level. ERIN LEIGH - Adult Romance and Chick Lit. 18 and over recommended reading level. TL BROWN - Adult Paranormal, Science Fiction, and Fantasy. NOT FOR YOUNG READERS AT ALL!! SOPHIE STARR - Adult Only Erotica. NOT FOR YOUNG READERS AT ALL!!!!!!!! Hope you have a great day and of course, happy reading! Remember to read at your comfort level. âWanna go for dinner?â I test the water after a minute.
She sighs and gives me a look, stopping us both in the middle of the street during the busiest time of day. I drag her to the side of the building we are next to and hold her tight. âNo. I want you to come to our place for dinner. Iâm tired and I want to put on something grungy and maybe force you to watch something girlie.â âOkay.â I wrinkle my nose. âRough week?â âNo. Just tired because itâs new, and Iâm still lost and I miss Hartford and all the people and how fun it was. But Iâm catching on and a girl named Linna was nice to me today. She sat with me at lunch and we talked. Sheâs from Providence too. She said you guys were in seventh grade together, but you probably wonât remember her. Dark hair and blue eyes and really pretty.â My insides clench. âLinna Mackenzie?â âYeah!â Her eyes are wide and then they dull. âReally?â She reads my face like a book. âYou are why I canât have nice things.â I bend down and kiss her cheek. âYou are my nice thing.â How the fuck is it possible she works with a girl I fucked when I was fifteen? Fuck! âYou are everything.â She makes duck lips and looks off to the right. Her sour mood is going strong tonight and I suspect I am the cause of it all. âDo you want to go back to Hartford?â I run my hands along her neck and cheek. Sheâs cold. Her bright eyes widen as she lifts her face to mine and shrugs. âI don't know. I need to give this more of a chance, I think.â I bend and kiss her softly. âWhatever you want to do, Iâm with you on it. I already told you that.â She melts into me and lets me hold her. âAnd Iâm sorry about Linna. I was fifteen.â She laughs against my lips. âYou should trade out West.â I shake my head. âThat wonât help.â She pulls back and rolls her eyes. âGross.â
I'm super excited to share the cover of SNAP with all of you. This book has been a journey for me and I'm glad that I decided to take it on. Originally, this book was supposed to be a romantic suspense, but it took on a world of it's own going far deeper and growing bigger than I had planned. It became something far more. A story about adapting. A story about survival. I wasn't ready to write a trilogy or a series. You guys would've hated me had I split this book up. And I didn't want to do that to you. So be prepared for one hell of story when this book drops November 17th.
Love, Tara Dawn
Hazel I never would've guessed my life would lead me where I am today, wedged between a stalker and a stranger in the midst of a drug war that I'm unsure of how I entered. Cash I was sent to find answers when no one else could find them. What I found was a woman in need and a psycho dealer working toward his own agenda. I wasn't to get involved, but her eyes call to me and I know they hold the information I seek. Phil She doesn't think I'm good enough for her. But I'll show her. Hazel belongs to me and has since that night that I claimed her. I'll get back into her good graces. I have to. She has something of mine and I'm not stopping until I have it all.

A scarefest book for chickens like me ;) this is scary because it’s real, people are crazy and do crazy things to other people, and to me that is more horrifying then demons and ghosts. Not to say they aren’t “real” but they aren’t fears that people are faced with and see on the news everyday. And it is finally available for all of you today!!!

Cheree's 5 Star Review
Just WOW!!! I so did not see this story coming! It's hard to write a review about a book like this, because you don't want to give anything away. So wonderfully written with all the little pieces that slowly fit together to lead you to a beautiful ending to a horrific nightmare. I went into this book thinking I was reading a romance with a twist....it is so much more than that! A horrifying and beautiful tale of survival in the most dire and difficult situation, but shows that humans can survive anything when they work together and never give up. I laughed, I cried, I was frightened and had so many emotions and feels through the entire book! Gobbled it up in just one day! Definitely will be recommending this book to everyone!

Lucian Barnes terrifies me. It's true. So far I have only had the nerve to read one of his books. Destine for Darkness took me down a path I was not prepared for. Mr. Barnes writes in a twisted, bone chilling, Stephen King ish manner that left me feeling quite disturbed. I still have books written by him on my TBR list. However, I don't think I am quite ready for them. See for yourself...

Review ~ 4 Stars
Destined for Darkness is the first book I have read by Lucian Barnes. All I can say is WOWZERS! This thrill ride sucks you in immediately and won't let go.
At first, you feel sorry for Frank Mancini. He is severely abused by his mother and his dad seems oblivious to it all. After years of torture, Frank snaps brutally killing and mutilating his mother. Frank leaves Ohio and starts a new life in California. There he meets a wonderful girl, April, quickly falls in love and starts a family. Just as Destined for Darkness is the first book I have read by Lucian Barnes.
Just as you start to feel that Frank deserves some happiness, he begins to kill again. He even goes so far as to kill his wife, April, in front of their young son, George. With his life in California destroyed, Franks decides to return home to Ohio to raise George. The story doesn't end here. The reader follows George growing up in Misty Hollows. As George gets older, he begins to learn secrets about his father. Secrets that shatter and disgust George forcing him to leave home. It becomes evident that George is following a very similar path as Frank did all those years ago. Will the sins of the father be revisited upon the son?
Lucian Barnes has a way of bringing crazy to the table so everyone can understand it. With hints of a Stephen King like style he seems to have a flare for the demented. His books reel you in, gripping you till the end and then relinquish you long enough to give you nightmares that night.
Lucian began his writing career late in 2010, but has spent most of his life writing stories. He is a fantasy/horror novelist whose first published works were released in 2012. Because this cause hits close to home for Lucian, the fifth book in the Desolace Series, Cemetery Hill, will have a portion of its sales donated to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. His next novel will be a sequel to EL-204 called Wasteland, which is scheduled to release in September 2015. Lucian lives in Pueblo, Colorado.

Emily’s life is death. In the two years since nanites started wiping out the population, she’s sent a thousand deaders and in-betweeners to their deaths. Between fighting for her life and hiding in a tiny, windowless office at night, she’s just trying to get one more day of life.
The nanites were supposed to give humanity longer and healthier lives, cure diseases, and make the world a better place to live in. Instead, they divided humans into three groups: humans, deaders, and the flesh-eating in-betweeners. At eighteen, Emily thought life would be different. Dating, college, and maybe giving her mom a few reasons to worry were the plans she had in mind. Now, she talks to herself and smashes heads with her favorite sledgehammer.
Everything changes one bright morning when one of the deaders at Emily’s fence isn’t a deader at all. He’s an in-betweener different from any she has seen before…and he has a message. If Emily can muster up the courage, she might have a chance at life after all.
The In-Betweener is book one of the exciting post-apocalyptic trilogy, Between Life and Death. With mild language and occasional violence, (and some very gross undead), this series is suitable for ages 16 and up.
My 5 Star Review
What can I say beside READ IT! It is going to be hard for me to put to words my feelings about this book/series......I simply adore it. Is it weird to say that about a zombie apocalypse book? Probably, but it's true. This book/series has simply everything you could possibly want from a book, and then some. For the first time in my life I did not write my review immediately after I finished this book, I had to read the next book, then the next one before I could do anything else, so alas, I have devoured this entire series and have now come back to write my review, I will try to sum up this fantastic book....
Starting out right off the bat we meet Sam, a very likable young man scouting out a place for the 5 children, who we meet briefly, that he is taking care of and hiding out with in the middle of the city during the zombie apoc. Scary stuff. Then we meet Emily.....let me take a moment to state that I freaking love this chick! Amazing and unimaginable, and horrible things proceed to happen, I laughed, I cried, then I cried a little more. Enter Veronica and Jon, amazing. Veronica is 16 or 17 I think, and Jon is 2 (it is 2 years into the apoc at this point) Veronica is not Jon's mother but has been acting as one all his life and saved him over and over again. This story line is ingenious! I don't want to say anything more and give anything away, because the way it is revealed and the information is divvied out to you is very wonderfully done. I love me some post apoc/dystopian reading, but I don't read a lot of zombies, but this zombie series will definitely be on my shelf! And now I'm curious to read more zombie stuff, and definitely more books by Ann Christy! I loved her section in Prep For Doom by BOD, and her writing style, that is why I chose this series as my next read. And I gotta say, I'm hooked!!
Buy it here--->
The last time Veronica checked, the world outside was still dead…and still covered by the sort-of-undead remnants of humanity. That was this morning. Now, she has to run that gauntlet to try and save Emily, just as Emily once saved her.
Four years ago the world was destroyed by medical nanites gone awry, leaving humanity divided into three groups: the living, deaders, and the horrific in-betweeners. Emily’s only hope for a cure lies eighty miles away at a military hospital where nanite treatments were once given, and she’s running out of time. Between Veronica and that hospital is a world of flesh-eating monsters and possibly something even worse…humans. If Veronica fails to get there, Emily will be trapped forever between life and death.
Forever Between is book two in the exciting post-apocalyptic trilogy, Between Life and Death. With mild language and occasional violence, (and some very gross undead), this series is suitable for ages 16 and up.
My 5 Star Review
Wooowee....that was just....awesome! This whole series is one I couldn't put down! I had to read the entire series before I could break to write my review. In this book we follow Veronica, but Emily is still there...ish. Just so many emotions and crazy things happens here. We get to meet some new characters and get a glimpse into a new world and way of life. Jeremy is a pretty awesome character I want to give a little shout out to. This is no romance, but he helps put a little love and tummy flutters on a dire situation.
There may be possibility for a cure, but some "bumps in the road" could cause problems. Veronica is dead set on heading to the military hospital 80 miles away to find the nanites that could, maybe possibly hopefully, save Emily, and nothing is going to stop her. But what she finds there is more than she can imagine, and it changes everything, big time. Like book 1, this book is filled with amazing characters and back stories. Filled with shocking realities of what life would be like and the lows people will stoop to. Lots of emotions and plenty of laughs, which is refreshing in a story like this. Ann sure has a knack for making me love Emily even more in this one, she is simply adorable. I keep loving this series more and more!

Between Life and Death
An endless, broiling summer bakes the deaders that roam the world. Veronica feels stuck in limbo while she waits for news that might bring an end to the nightmare that has overtaken their world. Between bashing heads and scavenging for what’s left, it’s all she can do to keep on going. Back at the warehouse complex, the rest of the group keeps watch over their group of captive in-betweeners and tries to stay alive.
At long last, Veronica finds a package left by Princeton and Violet at their drop-off point. Everything is finally going their way and a cure for the in-betweeners might finally be within their grasp.
But, nothing is easy in the post-nanite world of deaders and in-betweeners. Not everyone wants a cure for the nanite plague. Around every shiny, white cloud is a deep, black lining. This time, the clouds are smoke and there is a storm coming.
Between Life and Death is book three in the exciting, post-apocalyptic Between Life and Death trilogy. With mild language and occasional violence, (and some very gross undead), this series is suitable for ages 16 and up.
My 5 Star Review
What a roller coaster! The last book in the series and it is so full of crazy action and breathtaking moments, what a ride! I can’t stand that this is the last book tho, as perfect as it is. I need more! I need to know the in betweens (see what I did there) of the end. I feel that Ann Christy did leave so much room for future books for us, well, I can hope anyways. The very ending of this book is pure perfection. Everything is tied up so nicely, just thinking about it now makes my heart flutter and my tummy warm and fuzzy. I love that the end of a zombie apocalypse book ends this way and gives me these feelings. The good guys actually win. There is so much character building in this book. We really get to know each of the people that came to the group in book 2, and what amazing people they are. Plus we get to meet more wonderful, heroic people, and some major ‘A’ holes as well. The story line and little relationship hiccups are so realistic to some of the things we all think about but never really “talk about” like the smells and lack of privacy, the things we will see and have to do, and how scary love would be. So many different little things, that make you giggle and make you sad. True hardships and heartbreaking things are are dealt with and survived, and the writing is so brilliant and well done that you know what these people feel, and you feel like you are right there with them. My favorite part about the book is really something I don’t want to talk about because it is so brilliant! So wonderful I was shouting and fist pumping the air in my celebration and approval of how things ended up going down! I don’t want to ruin it for you readers, just know there is so much goodness here! As I sit here typing out my review, I Have the desire to go back and read the entire series again! Fingers and toes crossed for more in this series!

The Book of Sam
Unfortunately, all you get of this is my review and this amazing cover!!! So keep you eyes peeled for this absolutely wonderful prequel!
My 5 Star review
The Book of Sam, a prequel for Between Life and Death series by Ann Christy is just….freaking epic!! We meet Sam in The In-Betweener, book 1 in the series, and you can tell how big a heart he has in the little bits of him we get to see there. But in this book, you grow to love and cherish this man and the size of his heart. He is a selfless, kind, giving, piece of wonderful! I found that the more I read into this book, the more I could feel my heart constricting, knowing what was coming. Little things that shouldn’t have been a big deal, made me break down into tears! I also love that with this book we get to see Ann’s version of the apocalypse from the first day it goes down, and how it all starts. We get to see how he meets Veronica, who is the main character of books 1&2 in this series, and how they managed to survive for 2 years before Emily finds them. I found myself hoping and wishing that the ending would change, but, this is no fairy tale.
I absolutely love this series, and didn’t think it could get any better, until I read this book. All I can really say is this is a series that MUST BE READ!!!
