My 5 Star Review :D
Fantastic! Absolutely loved it, the only complaint I have is that now I have to wait for book 3 to satisfy the need I have to find out what happens! We start off 3 years after The Amber Project ends. The second jolt sent Terry to a strange alien, variant filled planet, fighting to survive every day. Some days are better than others, and some days are just down right hard. Right off the bat my heart broke for Terry and what he is going through. He thinks he is all alone except for the animals, but he is about to find out how wrong he is, and things are about to get very interesting. As he continues to explore the strange lands around him, he starts to find more and more strange buildings and signs of intelligence that just up and vanished. Then he meets his first set of “people” and it wasn’t pleasant. Mei and John on the other hand, their lives are different now. Science has come a long way and they have found a way, using the variant babies like Terry, Mei, and John’s blood to make a vaccine that will allow people to go above ground using a mask instead of an entire suit, to breath and walk around topside. Mei is now a doctor and John is a pretty big deal in the military. Mei is on a special project topside trying to study the flamling coil and how they work, hoping to harness it for a new source of power. But Mei has a secret ulterior mission of her own. She must find out what happened to them 3 years ago at the second jolt. And what happened to their friend Terry. John manages to get some free time and a side project so he can go be with Mei and her team when they find something that is about to change everything! I received and advanced reader copy for an honest review, and I can honestly say that this is a fantastic read! A story that just keeps getting deeper and deeper and is so well thought out and smartly written. There is so much happening here, and everything flows along at a great pace, then things start to get more exciting and you have one of those “there are not enough pages left for everything that needs to happen to happen!!” moments, and your heart sinks. A great and highly recommended read.

Start the adventure with The Amber Project, book 1 in this fantastic series
