By Alicia Michaels
Published by Crimson Tree Publishing
on January 8, 2018

Blythe Sol has a New Year's Resolution, but it's not your typical self-improvement plan.She wants to end the conflict between the government and the Resistance once and for all—by sneaking into Washington D.C. and putting a bullet in President Drummond's skull. If she can cut the head off the snake, the genocide of the Bionics might finally end. But if she fails, she will surely bring retaliation crushing down upon the entire Resistance.

Blythe and fellow soldier Dax Janner are already coping with the loss of people they loved. When their dormant feelings for each other begin to rekindle, they struggle with feeling anything positive after so much suffering. The return of Gage will only confuse matters more. As the terrorist sect known as The Rejects begins to work hand in hand with the government to push the Resistance toward all-out war, the battle will be brought to their doorstep.Will the movement stand tall and conquer—or collapse under the strain and be destroyed for good?

The Revolution is the thrilling third novel in the award-winning Bionics series by Alicia Michaels.

~~~Review~~~
O -M-G! This book was gut wrenching.  Alicia Michaels gave me what my hear desired only to rip it out, stomp on it, grind it into the dirt, and hand it back to me.  I don’t think I have the words to describe the emotions The Revolution invoked in me.  This installment in the Bionics series has been by far the toughest to endure.  The fighting.  The loss.  The Revolution broke my heart. I ugly cried for two days.  Sometimes in public.  It was not pretty.
Without including spoilers it’s hard to really say much about the actual story.  This series encompasses a variety of characters that are each multi dimensional and complex.  Michaels did a phenomenal job weaving them all together into an emotionally charges, action packed, heart wrenching story.  As the reader you can’t help but connect to the story on multiple levels.  With my hear racing, my adrenaline pumping, and with bated breath I immersed myself into the Resistance. The feels.  The love.  The heartbreak.  The death.  It all hit me like a tidal wave.  When I finished The Revolution, I had to sit alone and decompress for a bit.  I needed the story to release me from its grip.
If you love a heart pounding, edge of your seat, action packed, thrill ride then look no further than the Bionics series by Alicia Michaels.
P.S   If you are #TeamDax gal like me, you will L-O-V-E The Revolution.
In case there was any doubt, I give this book 5 STARS! ~ Lynn
A heart-pumping futuristic thrill-ride set in a frightening dystopian society. 2016 Once Upon A Book Award Winner.
It is the year 4006, and nuclear war has come to the United States. With tens of thousands killed and countless more injured or terminally ill from the blasts, there is no more “normal”…life will never be the same. For her part, Blythe Sol is reeling from the loss of her arm and an eye in one of the blasts – her dreams of following in her father’s footsteps and joining the military completely shattered. When she hears about the Restoration Project – a bionic government program that offers the sick and injured a second chance – she immediately enrolls.
Made whole again, Blythe is filled with hope and a renewed sense of purpose. But when it becomes apparent that those outfitted with the robotic parts now possess super-human abilities, fear spreads across the nation. The Bionics are forced to go into hiding, outcast from all society. In desperation, they band together to form an underground rebellion, and Blythe finds herself caught in a confusing tug-of-war between two of her fellow soldiers—Gage Bronson, the mysterious new addition to the Resistance, and Dax Janner, her best friend. But with war on the horizon and a death sentence hanging over her, Blythe hardly has time to worry about her feelings…
The Bionics Series is perfect for readers who enjoy futuristic science fiction, dystopian novels, science fiction romance, and genetic engineering science fiction. Filled with action and adventure, this series will appeal to fans of The Gender Game by Bella Forest and Secondborn by Amy A. Bartol.
Another mind boggling novel from Alicia! I’m a fan of fiction stories. I spend a lot of time in reading that my mind becomes frozen sometimes. This is not a bad thing in my case. For me, a good novel is something that will make my mind still for quite a while. If a book that I’ve read made my mind keep thinking about it over and over again, it means that the novel has the power to capture and hold the mind of a reader. I’m excited to read about this!
