The Redemption Series ~ RK Ryals

If you follow the FB page and blog regularly, you know I am a huge Indie Author supporter.  If you watch it closely you also know that there are a handful of authors that I absolutely love. Who I gush, fangirl and stalk religiously.  One such author is the amazingly talented R.K. Ryals.  I only stumbled across her awesomeness just last year while reading the anthology Hot Summer Nights.  In just a few short pages she captured me and hook a new fan.  From there I went on to read The Singing River, Awkward & The Land of Tea and Ravens.  All have been reviewed and included on the blog if you are interested in checking them out.  The last 2 months have been consumed by Ryals' book.  I am in love with her writing style.  The way she pours herself into the pages makes my connection to her characters that much stronger.  But enough gushing.

Today's post is all about the Redemption Series ~
Redemption, Ransom & Retribution.

To say I read this series with bated breath is an understatement.  I don't think I breathed since picking up book 1 in the series.  R.K. Ryals took me Hell and back more than once.  She gave a whole new meaning to the phrase "Hell hath no fury".
Ryals took me on a gut wrenching roller coaster ride that left me emotionally exhausted.  Just when I thought I knew (or hoped) where the story would go, she threw in a dagger and twisted it.  I had goose bumps till the last page.

This series is quite different from the other works I have read from Mrs. Ryals.  The Redemption Series is much darker but I loved it just the same.  It speaks highly of a writer that can write such different genres but all equally well.  I look forward to reading her other series as well.

You can read all my reviews on Goodreads.

R.K. Ryals is the author of emotional and gripping young adult and new adult paranormal romance, contemporary romance, and fantasy. With a strong passion for charity and literacy, she works as a full time writer encouraging people to "share the love of reading one book at a time." An avid animal lover and self-proclaimed coffee-holic, R.K. Ryals was born in Jackson, Mississippi and makes her home in the Southern U.S. with her husband, her three daughters, a rescue dog named Oscar the Grouch, A Shitzsu named Tinkerbell, an OCD cat, and a coffee pot she honestly couldn't live without. Should she ever become the owner of a fire-breathing dragon (tame of course), her life would be complete.

An active advocate for autism, poverty, anti-bullying, and literacy, you can contact her on twitter at @RKRyals, on instagram at @rkryals, on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/RKRyals or online at www.authorrkryals.com.
