Blurb

For five years Becca struggled to hide her feelings for her best friend, Brad. Then, she’s met the first guy besides Brad who held her attention. Not only is Ethan attractive, he’s an amazing tennis player, and he might just be Becca’s match on and off the courts.

Brad has loved Becca for as long as he can remember. When Becca's family moves, Brad is forced to lay his heart on the line and do whatever it takes to hold on to Becca.

Torn between her love for Brad and the promise of something new and exciting with Ethan, Becca has an almost impossible choice to make, the choice between letting go or holding on.

The box set includes all FOUR books in the Holding On series.

Holding On (Holding On, #1)Holding On by Rachael Brownell
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Oh this sure brings you back to high school days. Becca is torn between 2 guys, most of the story is her trying to figure out what her heart wants. It's never easy, growing up, but we all have to do it. This is a great YA read, suitable for teens.

Unglued (Holding On, #2)Unglued by Rachael Brownell
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

What an emotional roller coaster! Becca is still fighting with her heart. This one has more to do with loss. How much can one person take before they snap?

Weakness: Ethan's Novella (Holding On, #3)Weakness: Ethan's Novella by Rachael Brownell
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I really wanted to love this, but it was repetitive. We had already went through mostly everything with Becca's POV, this was the same stuff in Ethan's POV. I found myself skimming through. There was some new stuff but not much. The new stuff was kind of major and worth reading though.

Flawed Reality (Holding On Book 4)Flawed Reality by Rachael Brownell
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I really loved it. This book was Brad's POV, and it was all new, moving on. This ended the series perfectly!

This was a good series. It is YA, showing the struggles of high school, and moving on into adult life. It shows that even though we think at that age we have it all figured out, we really don't. And in the end we really have no control over what happens before we turn 18 and finish High School. All we can do is move forward. The struggles Becca faces are hard, but very real! It happens.
