CRYSTAL FROST tells herself she isn't crazy, but sane people don't see ghosts. As her psychic abilities manifest, Crystal discovers there's a much bigger story behind her mother's Halloween-themed shop than she ever realized. Now blessed with the ability to see into the future, witness the past, and speak with the dead, Crystal must use these tools to save those who have come to her for help.
But that's not an easy task between learning how to use her abilities, trying to hide them, and uncovering the secrets her loved ones have been keeping from her. Add blackmail to the list of things Crystal never thought would happen to her, and you basically have her sophomore year covered. Will she learn to control her abilities in time, or will the whole school learn of her secret before she's ready to reveal it?

While traveling to Florida for Thanksgiving, Crystal's visions of Hope only grow stronger. She enlists the help of her soon-to-be step-cousin Robin, a decision that complicates the entire picture—and her feelings. Can she figure out what happened to Hope and learn why Robin is so guarded, or will her newfound abilities fail her?

~~~OUR REVIEWS~~~
Fire in Frost (Crystal Frost, #1)Fire in Frost by Alicia Rades
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Wow, this story reached out and grabbed me on page one! This YA read has a lot of depth and complex characters. Everyone's got a secret in Fire and Frost. I love the supernatural element with Crystal's psychic abilities but the scene stealer is Kelli. I like that the author weaved in a very real high school dilemma faced by teen girls - volatile relationships. And the cliffhanger definitely left me wanting more. On to book 2.
Desire in Frost (Crystal Frost, #2)Desire in Frost by Alicia Rades
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Another quick read from Alicia Rades. Book two picks up right where book one ended. Crystal's trying to help her mom's fiancé, Teddy, find a missing young girl named Hope. The story has a lot going on with Crystal and Andrea meeting Teddy's family at Thanksgiving, new romantic relationships forming (no spoilers here) and finding Hope. The story moved along well but I would have liked for the author to put more description into her characters. I prefer for story to paint me a picture and so far this Series has fallen flat on the descriptiveness. Overall it's a great young adult read. I look forward to reading other books by Alicia Rades and seeing her grow as an author.
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
I really liked this book, the only thing I would have changed personally is the amount of times Crystal said the word psychic. I really liked Emma, she was usually so bubbly and always looked for the best of every situation. If you like the TV show Ghost Whisperer, I think you would love this story. This is a nice clean read suitable for anyone 13 and older (maybe even younger if the parent has already read it and decides to let the younger kids read it). I can't wait to start the next one in the series :-)
Desire in Frost (Crystal Frost, #2)Desire in Frost by Alicia Rades
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
I really liked this story. Make sure to read Fire in Frost (Crystal Frost #1) first. This one is also for all ages, if I had a teenage daughter I would have no problem at all letting her read this! In this one we meet Robin, he has so many levels to him, you spend half the book trying to figure him out. This was a pretty quick read, but again, very good! You won't be disappointed.
Inspired by Frost (Crystal Frost, #3)Inspired by Frost by Alicia Rades
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
I have to say this one is my favorite in the series so far, but make sure to read the first two first! Crystal is coming into her abilities beautifully, she still second guesses herself. The teenage problems made me smile, "you mean he hasn't told you he loves you yet?" and things like that. Will Crystal's moms wedding be put off because of her mission to safe Sage? I'll never tell :-) I definitely recommend this book! Again this series is for all ages, not too scary for younger kids (10+).
