ZOMBIES! What a popular thing these days. I love Dystopia and Post Apoc reads, and The Walking Dead is my fav show, but I don’t read a lot of zombie books. I found Ann Christy on Band of Dystopian on Facebook, and loved her writing style on the different writing prompts, that is what first drew me to her. And the covers, they are great! So I dove in….oh…..my…gosh! I did not come up for air until the end of book 3! I didn’t even stop to write my reviews, I went directly to the next book, I just couldn’t stop. The books starts out with a bang, and you are trying to piece together what is going on, but everything is quickly cleared up and you are hooked right from page one. So much heartbreak, but the reality is there and undeniable. I was gripped and couldn’t stop giving my husband a play by play of how awesome and ingenious the idea and writing was. Deep and thought provoking, imagine if zombies had moments of memories of themselves…a moment of recognition, a fleeting piece of them left behind, are they still in there? Throughout the series we meet new people, awesome and horrible, but Emily and Veronica are the 2 main characters. The two have such a beautiful friendship, it is more like family. I love Veronica’s dedication to Emily. And through everything that Emily goes through, she sees it and recognizes it too. This series is wrapped up so wonderfully at the end! I love what Ann did with book 3! It was a refreshing ending that left me satisfied but longing for more! I don’t want to give anything away from how it is divvied out to you in the book, but I LOVE how this all turns out! Check out my reviews for all 3 books and go get yourself a copy. Have you already read them? If so, leave a comment telling us what you think.

The In -Betweener:
What can I say beside READ IT! It is going to be hard for me to put to words my feelings about this book/series......I simply adore it. Is it weird to say that about a zombie apocalypse book? Probably, but it's true. This book/series has simply everything you could possibly want from a book, and then some. For the first time in my life I did not write my review immediately after I finished this book, I had to read the next book, then the next one before I could do anything else, so alas, I have devoured this entire series and have now come back to write my review, I will try to sum up this fantastic book....
Starting out right off the bat we meet Sam, a very likable young man scouting out a place for the 5 children, who we meet briefly, that he is taking care of and hiding out with in the middle of the city during the zombie apoc. Scary stuff. Then we meet Emily.....let me take a moment to state that I freaking love this chick! Amazing and unimaginable, and horrible things proceed to happen, I laughed, I cried, then I cried a little more. Enter Veronica and Jon, amazing. Veronica is 16 or 17 I think, and Jon is 2 (it is 2 years into the apoc at this point) Veronica is not Jon's mother but has been acting as one all his life and saved him over and over again. This story line is ingenious! I don't want to say anything more and give anything away, because the way it is revealed and the information is divvied out to you is very wonderfully done. I love me some post apoc/dystopian reading, but I don't read a lot of zombies, but this zombie series will definitely be on my shelf! And now I'm curious to read more zombie stuff, and definitely more books by Ann Christy! I loved her writing in the writing prompts on BOD, that is why I chose this series as my next read. And I gotta say, I'm hooked!!

Forever Between
Wooowee....that was just....awesome! This whole series is one I couldn't put down! I had to read the entire series before I could break to write my review. In this book we follow Veronica, but Emily is still there...ish. Just so many emotions and crazy things happens here. We get to meet some new characters and get a glimpse into a new world and way of life. Jeremy is a pretty awesome character I want to give a little shout out to. This is no romance, but he helps put a little love and tummy flutters on a dire situation.
There may be possibility for a cure, but some "bumps in the road" could cause problems. Veronica is dead set on heading to the military hospital 80 miles away to find the nanites that could, maybe possibly hopefully, save Emily, and nothing is going to stop her. But what she finds there is more than she can imagine, and it changes everything, big time. Like book 1, this book is filled with amazing characters and back stories. Filled with shocking realities of what life would be like and the lows people will stoop to. Lots of emotions and plenty of laughs, which is refreshing in a story like this. Ann sure has a knack for making me love Emily even more in this one, she is simply adorable. I keep loving this series more and more!

Between Life and Death
What a roller coaster! The last book in the series and it is so full of crazy action and breathtaking moments, what a ride! I can’t stand that this is the last book tho, as perfect as it is. I need more! I need to know the in betweens (see what I did there) of the end. I feel that Ann Christy did leave so much room for future books for us, well, I can hope anyways. The very ending of this book is pure perfection. Everything is tied up so nicely, just thinking about it now makes my heart flutter and my tummy warm and fuzzy. I love that the end of a zombie apocalypse book ends this way and gives me these feelings. The good guys actually win. There is so much character building in this book. We really get to know each of the people that came to the group in book 2, and what amazing people they are. Plus we get to meet more wonderful, heroic people, and some major ‘A’ holes as well. The story line and little relationship hiccups are so realistic to some of the things we all think about but never really “talk about” like the smells and lack of privacy, the things we will see and have to do, and how scary love would be. So many different little things, that make you giggle and make you sad. True hardships and heartbreaking things are are dealt with and survived, and the writing is so brilliant and well done that you know what these people feel, and you feel like you are right there with them. My favorite part about the book is really something I don’t want to talk about because it is so brilliant! So wonderful I was shouting and fist pumping the air in my celebration and approval of how things ended up going down! I don’t want to ruin it for you readers, just know there is so much goodness here! As I sit here typing out my review, I Have the desire to go back and read the entire series again! Fingers and toes crossed for more in this series!
