Crystal's Review

My rating: 5 of 5 stars
I really loved this whole series. Kathy knows how to pull you in! Here are my unedited reviews from when I first read the series.
The Wrath of Cain 5 Stars ~ I really enjoyed this story. Cain is trying to act all big and tough while deep down he is still broken, he was forced to do something that hurt him just as much as it did Calla. The reason sucked, the actions that followed sucked but if he didn't know anything else...... well you get it. This book tied the family together nicely and did a good job at trying to explain who was who. A good introduction to the series.
The Redemption of Roan 4 Stars ~ Loved it! Sadly thought there were parts that we a little choppy, I think a **** divider to show a bit of time has passed, even minutes would have fixed it. Few editing errors but not too bad. I loved Roan and everything he stands for. The ending WOW, so glad I have the whole set to keep moving forward!
The Absolution of Aidan 4 Stars ~ I liked Aidan alot. I loved this book up until the end. The ending felt rushed, there were many editing errors. Ex. Aidan and Diedre were in the back seat of Roan's truck, but then Roan was with so and so following them, in his truck. It wasn't major but it slowed me down and made me go back and look. There was a few spots like this. The story line is amazing and I love Kathy's writing, I can't wait to read The Deliverance of Dilan.
The Deliverance of Dilan 5 Stars ~ Dilan and Anna, what do I say? WOW! The battles they have to fight in order to be together. Does he want her? Does she want him? Is it all worth it? So many emotions in this story. I would recommend it to anyone who likes a strong family bond, one where blood isn't everything. I love touching base with the characters in the previous books (The Syndicate Series Books 1-3). You could read this as a stand alone but I wouldn't recommend it. You won't get the full effect. I can't wait to see how this series concludes with Empire.
Empire 4 Stars ~ What a wonderful conclusion to this series. I hated to see it end. Family means the world. You never know what's going to happen, so don't take anything for granted. This story follows Roan and Calla as they struggle within themselves to find their true place in the Empire.
