What an amazing series! This is one of those series that you have book 1 on your kindle for too long when you finally jump in, then kick your own but for not diving in sooner! I am obsessed with this series! I wanna crawl in and live here, seriously, can Olive be my BFF? The things that she has experienced and seen, and the strength and resolve she shows through it all is amazing. All the characters in this series are masterfully written and with so much depth. Easy to get attached and feel connections with them. A wonderful world you'll love to get lost in! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 1391572_1730622240504349_8576919981894193785_n

Dreamthief ~ Book 1

Blurb:  Forget the fairies and unicorns, most people return from fairy world with lost memories and mental problems. Olive Kennedy knows. She's the therapist who treats patients suffering from Faythander's side effects. Traveling back to the fairy realm wasn't on Olive's to-do list. But she has no choice. The fate of both Earth and Fairy depends on her ability to stop an ancient being called the Dreamthief. To complicate matters, she may be losing her heart to someone who can't love her in return. Saving the world, she can handle. Falling in love--not so much.

My 5 Star Review

Love this! It took me a bit to get into the story, but I don't think it was the story's fault, I think I was in a personal funk, that wouldn't let my mind absorb the goodness. But about 25% in and I was done for. I absolutely love this genre, but admit I don't read nearly enough of it, and it's always such a treat when I do. I love the characters and the way everything slowly unfolded and revealed itself. There were quite a few parts where I thought I knew for sure what was going to happen, and was completely wrong, or only a tiny bit right, but the outcome was so good. Not predictable what so ever, a very well written story line. Kull is amazing, and I adore the way Olive and his relationship went back and forth. My favorite part of the whole book is in ch. 33 after Olive got lost and was sitting on a park bench when Kull found her, their interaction had me cracking up! Lots of goodness stuffed in this book. There is a lot going on here, lots of history and backstory that is doled out to you throughout the book, and it is done very well. Highly recommend this book to anyone who loves to get lost in the enchantment and woes of the fairy & dragon world.

Spellweaver ~ B1931068_1730622280504345_933853158180792404_nook 2

Blurb: Olive's to-do list: Pay the rent, feed the cat, save Faythander. Again. When the fairy realm faces a new, terrifying  threat from a goblin Spellweaver, Olive Kennedy leaves her home in Houston to travel through the most dangerous places in Faythander in order to confront him. While there, she learns that history is a muddled subject, especially when elves are involved. Her only comfort comes from Kull, her Viking warrior sidekick--who somehow negates her bad fortune. Yet how long can their relationship last when his past is brought to light? Olive will be tested beyond anything she has endured so far, as the secrets of Faythander's sordid and bloody past are exposed--one that could irrevocably alter the future and destroy the lives of everyone she loves.

My 5 Star Review

What an adventure! Olive goes from one crisis to another, and is very necessary in keeping peace and balance in Faythander, the girl really needs to give herself more credit. In Spellweaver, Geth is trying to kill magic and destroy the Everblossom tree to get vengeance on the Elves for their torturous past to goblin kind. There is a fantastic storyline here, but what I must love on for a minute is the characters. The characters in this series are so fantastic. Their banter and the way they are with each other is just so fun and natural, and it makes you love this world and the things they are going through, regardless of the story, and that the story is so fantastic as well is just a total bonus. There really is just so much here tho, action and adventure, love and tenderness, heartbreak and sadness. Some of these feelings happening simultaneously. From Faythander, to Earth, to pirate ships and getting ship wrecked on a secret isle with wild dragons! But with every victory there is a price, and the price here is very high! As you grow to love these characters and feel they are your friends, you tend to feel their pain as well, and the hurt here is real. Kudos to the author for creating such a wonderful world to escape to.

Bloodthorn ~ B1451424_1732660470300526_931289507717454904_nook 3

Blurb: Olive Kennedy doesn't believe in fairy tales. In a desperate attempt to earn income, fairy world therapist Olive Kennedy resorts to finding clients at the Texas Renaissance Festival. When she discovers the corpse of her client's husband discarded in her booth, she realizes that earning her next paycheck is the least of her worries. As more of Olive's clients fall prey to the killer, the fairy prince and princess arrive from Faythander with troubling news. The starstone—the fairies' source of magic—has been stolen, and the thief is hiding on Earth. The bloodthorn, a mythical beast born of fairy legends, is rumored to be responsible, but no one is certain if the creature exists. Of course, th e fairy royalty do not travel alone. Their protector happens to be the one man Olive never wanted to see again. Her ex—Kull. Following a trail of clues, she learns that the killer may be a shape shifter. Worse, she learns the identity of his next target—her. After months with no contact from Faythander, Olive hoped the magical drama was over, yet it seems she'll never escape the beings who haunt her nightmares… or be free from the man who took away her happily ever after.

My 5 Star Review

The end of Spellweaver crushed me for Olive, and I was so nervous as to where she was going to go from there. Bloodthorn starts 10 months after we leave Olive, and she is working at what I picture in my mind as kind of a Renaissance fair mixed with a carnival flair, and living in a little trailer with her cat, out in the lot with all the other people working there. And once again Faythander needs her help or all is lost. Good thing she is around because she is very handy in saving the world! But there is a catch, there is always a catch, and that is Kull, King of the Wults comes with the Fairies to protect them according to a sworn oath. Poor Olive. Just like the other books, the action and depth of the adventures are non-stop, but there is so much heart and emotion to this book that the other two were leading up to, which is crazy because they were loaded with emotion! Olive was always content to be alone, and travel wherever she was needed to help people, and she was happy that way. But love had touched her, and then was ripped away without warning, and now she has to learn to live without it and deal with the heartbreak and loss. She is suddenly thrown back into a crisis while also having to face the cause of her greatest pain. I love the banter that goes on between the characters here, and the more their relationships grow, the better it gets. Kull was a real jerk in this book, and I had a hard time not being really really mad for Olive, but she controlled herself way better than I could. The conclusion was epic, and left me wanting, and needing more! With every crisis Olive conquers, she finds out more of the prophecy that she is the Deathbringer, and the stronger she seems to grow. I LOVED the ending to this book! I was in tears!! The end came too soon, I didn’t want to leave my Faythander friends and am dying for the next book already!
