The sleepy, rural town of Misty Hollows, Ohio had never been a hotbed for local interest ... until the day arrived when it became known as the home of a serial killer, referred to by authorities as the Headhunter. However, just as the media frenzy began, the suspected psychopath disappeared without a trace. Unknown to the citizens of Misty Hollows, a dark entity from a parallel world had enlisted the aid of the serial killer and pulled him through a strange rift into another dimension.

The Headhunter soon discovered that one of his potential victims had similarly been brought to the alternate world by the forces opposing the malevolent being responsible for his arrival, a small group of adventurers led by a sorcerer named Edward the White. At first, he was thrilled with the prospect of having an unsuspecting world full of ripe, new victims begging for mercy at his feet. Although, as he became acclimated to his new surroundings it started to look like an epic battle of good versus evil was in the making.

Could the wizard and his friends be strong enough to deal with the insurmountable odds of facing the largest contingent of evil in the history of Desolace, thus thwarting the Headhunter and the vile entity he served? How would the serial killer fit into the grand scheme of things? Was he to be an instrument of death as he'd been accustomed to on Earth, or merely a morbid curiosity of the dark entity which called itself the Black Knight, another pawn in the battlefield to distract Edward's party? Only the gods of Desolace could answer such questions ... if anyone could find them!

Lucian began his writing career late in 2010, but has spent most of his life writing stories. He is a fantasy/horror novelist whose first published works were released in 2012. Because this cause hits close to home for Lucian, the fifth book in the Desolace Series, Cemetery Hill, will have a portion of its sales donated to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. His next book will be a collection of short stories called Fractured Reflections, which is scheduled for release in February 2017. Lucian lives in Pueblo, Colorado.
