Melanie Gilbert tackles the retelling of my favorite fairytale Beauty & the Beast in book 2 of her Fae Brothers Ever After Novel, Enchanted. This installment stars Blake of the Danville clan. Book 1 ended with him being cursed and unable to change from his gargoyle form. In Enchanted Blake must find a way to break the curse, save his family, and his soulmate without having to sacrifice one to have the other. Piece of cake, right?
Gilbert introduces us to a new villain in book 2. If you thought Stella from Midnight was evil, hold on to your hats cause you haven’t seen anything until you meet Mya! Gilbert has way to much fun with her “bad girl” characters when she unleashes her dark side.
Enchanted is a darker retelling that Midnight filled with an epic battle scene that left me breathless. This unique fairytale retelling includes a diverse, complex cast of magical creatures and is definitely one of my favorites.
