Heartless, Bk1

What would you do if your guardian angel wasn't sent to protect you from the world but to protect the world from you?
For thirteen years, Gracen Sullivan dreamed about a red-eyed demon named Hart Blackwell who tortured her every night. Her mother freaked when she found out about her daughter's "hallucinations" and forced Gracen to go to the doctor, who prescribed some very powerful medication which kept Hart out of her head for five years.
A week ago, Hart came back and brought a friend.
But something has changed, and Gracen is seeing Hart
when she's awake too. And the other "friends" in her dreams? They have been found dead.
The police want to talk to her.
Her boyfriend has become distant.
Her dreams are becoming more and more intense.
Hell wants her.
Heaven has to stop her.
When push comes shoving, can Gracen fight the evil eating away inside her or will she be forced to embrace it and destroy the world?
REVIEW
I am reading the entire series so I revisited book 1. I have concerns about the mind of author Kelly Martin. This is seriously a dark and twisted series, even by her standards.
Once again I was hooked from page one like it was the first time and devoured book 1. Diving into the madness of book 2!
1st review ~ 2017
Someone recommended this author to me and I snagged up several of her books during an Amazon and Audible sale. Boy, I had no idea what I was in for! Kelly Martin has one twisted mind. How does she sleep at night with these thoughts swimming in her head? I downloaded Heartless from Audible as well so I got a double dose of creepy. The narrator, Julie Hinton, was fantastic. I recommend checking her out.
My only fault with this story is that the MC, Gracen, tells it in a monologue in her head most of the time. She doesn't interact with many people so the reader doesn't get a lot of perspective from the other characters until the end of the book when we get a peek into Hart's head. I get why it was done this way but it was a first for me. I still enjoyed this creeptastic tale and look forward to completing the series.
Soulless, Bk2

She wouldn't need the demon blood.
She wouldn't be scared to go home.
And she wouldn't be having any sort of feelings for Hart Blackwell.
Hope and love are all she has left. Hope and love will destroy everything. Even a love she never saw coming.
REVIEW
Heaven, Hell, angels, demons, the apocalypse - it is not for the faint of heart. Author Kelly Martin has to have one twisted mind to write this stuff. I LOVE IT so I must be just as twisted, lol.
Soulless is book 2 in the Heartless series and I highly recommend reading it first.

All of Kelly's books have one thing in common-- imagine the real world is tilted slightly on its side.
