I'm a hardworking mother of five. I'm family oriented, dedicated, somewhat sarcastic at times, but overall friendly and amiably. When I'm not tending to the little ones, I like to indulge in some reading or writing of my own. I love to go shopping or the movies with the family. My ideal version of relaxation is kicking back with a cup of coffee in one hand and a great book in the other.
2. Please tell us about your book.
Secrets of the Moon is about a maturing teenage girl looking to piece her life back together after a series of badly made decisions culminates with her family buried in dept and a friend stuck in a wheelchair for the rest of her life. However, just as she's achieving some sort of normalcy in her, Kyran Rousseau shows up, dark, handsome, and with a secret that will turn her world upside down.
Little does she know Kyran's appearance is but the beginning of a bitter war between two enemy packs that fight for the right to claim her as mate.
3. Who was your favorite character to write and why?
Without a doubt, Kyran became a huge challenge for me. There are so many secrets surrounding him, some many mysteries that it was fairly easy for me to view him as a project all on his own. He's suffered so much, has had to deal with things that would have pushed anyone else to their breaking point, but the fact that he is able to function as well as he does is admirable.
4. Since this is Book 1 of a trilogy, what is the timeline of the remaining 2 books?
Secrets of the Moon is actually the first book in a saga. Book 2 and 3 have recently been released, though I wouldn't call them sequels exactly since they play the roles of fillers, letting the readers know what's going on when Marjorie is absent. Book 4 is due to be released some time in September.
5. What is your writing process?
I don't have a long process per se. Basically, once I've gathered my faithful companions (notebook, pen, bottle of water, and music player) I organize everything on top of my desk and sit down to write. Some days are more fruitful than others. Other days I'm lucky if I get a page or two before something or someone demands my attention, but I work with what I have and make the best of my time.
6. What authors have influenced you?
All of them in different ways.
