Recently I started reading the Desolace Series. For those not familiar with the series it is a 7 book paranormal, scifi, thriller from the twisted mind of Lucian Barnes. The writer weaves in multiple elements to create a master piece that is sure to entice horror fans all over. Be sure and check out my reviews and snag book 1, Desolace, for free.
I don’t know whether to be impressed or scared at the mind of Lucian Barnes. Desolace is definitely not what you would normally find on my TBR list, However, it did incorporate many of the things I like to read about – serial killers, ghosts and teenagers.
Desolace is a great introduction to this series. We start with a serial killer on the loose in Misty Hollows. When the ghost of one of his victims contacts Katie, she and her friend Julie get too close to the truth. Then when Julie goes missing I don’t know whether to be impressed or scared at the mind of Lucian Barnes. Desolace is definitely not what you would normally find on my TBR list, However, it did incorporate many of the things I like to read about – serial killers, ghosts and teenagers.
