The greatest days of Heather Matthews' life have taken place in Delta County. Unfortunately, so have the worst.
Ten years after an unspeakable tragedy took the lives of the two people she loved the most, Heather returns to her hometown for a class reunion with her high school sweetheart, who is now her husband. Just when she recalls all the reasons to love the idyllic lakeside town in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, her life is once again turned upside down.
Heather must push her grief aside and investigate the events that occurred the night of the reunion. The process will also have her questioning everything she thought she knew about the tragedy ten years prior.
In a town this small, betrayal always hits a little too close to home.
Meet the Author
I was lucky enough to get to meet the lovely J.L. Hyde at a book signing right here in town. Have I mentioned that I live in Delta County?!?! |
My Review

My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Usually I am a little iffy on reading books that are set in a town that I know, but Miss Hyde knocked this out of the park. She gives the locals just enough to know exactly what she was talking about but the details aren't so specific that someone who doesn't know the area would get confused. I absolutely loved the mystery behind who-dun-it, right to the freaking end! Phenomenal Job. Highly recommended.
