I first discovered L.B. Dunbar with her debut novel, Sound Advice. While contemporary romance is not my favorite genre, I enjoyed it a lot. In fact, Taste Test, from the same series, is fave from the set. As you guys know I LOVE paranormal so when I heard she was writing paranormal romance under the pen name Elda Lore, I was over the moon excited. Oh my. Where do I begin...
Elda Lore a.k.a. LB Dunbar may have been nervous about jumping from contemporary romance to paranormal/fantasy romance but she need not have been. YOU NAILED IT, GIRL!
HADES is a modern day Greek mythology meets William Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet. Sounds sexy doesn't it? Well let me tell ya, IT'S HOT. Hades may be blue but the guy is on fire - this will make sense when you read the book.
Hades and Persephone share a love quite similar to Romeo & Juliet - forbidden and tragic. (This is not a spoiler. Remember the Greek myth of Hades & Persephone?) Their love is palpable and leaps from the pages of this story. The author did a phenomenal job with all "the feels." I laughed. I cried. I scream and slammed my kindle shut.
I am loving this side of LB Dunbar. I can't wait to see what else her alter ego Elda Lore, has in store for us.
