Review

The Isle of Gold by Seven Jane is equal parts fantasy, adventure, legend, and lore. I was drawn into the hauntingly beautiful tale of Merrin Smith as she set sail on the Riptide in search of discovering herself and her past. The gorgeous descriptions made me feel like part of the Crew. This tale of pirates and treasure is much more than it appears. It is a tale of love and loss, heartbreak and torment, commitment and determination. I was blown away by the layers of this tidal wave of a story. IOG was a slow build for me, in the end, it was worth it. Isle of Gold weaves a dark version of the legends of Davy Jones, the Kraken, and the Sea Witch into an eloquent new legend. I cannot wait to see what happens next.
