Alexia, former Princess Demon of Hell, is thrown into a mission she wanted nothing to do with. Her new life as a human has been humiliating, her past haunts her, and her former lover hates her. Why fight for something you can never have?

Thrown together for this mission, Alexia and Gabriel will be tested. Will they destroy each other? Or will their love be strong enough to save them both, and the world?

excerpt

The door opened and Zadkiel marched into the room. He looked around and found me sitting on a few flour bags where I was trying to remain hidden from the world. I was beyond angry with him. How dare he take my picture! He had no right!

“Raven.” He walked over to me.

“Go to hell, Zadkiel,” I sneered at him.

“Well, actually that is where I am going. But first, I need to make sure that you will be alright while I am gone.” His words had me finally looking at him.

“You are going into hell?” He seemed determined enough.

“Yes, I need to find the other female and try and get more information. Her sister is lost about her research and is unable to make out what we are supposed to know.” He didn’t even flinch when he replied.

So, why did I?

“Are you serious?”

“Yes, we have no choice.” He seemed way too nonchalant for a guy taking a trip down to hell.

I wished I had the courage to tell him I would go with him, but I was scared shitless of the place and what lay within it. “How long will you be gone?” I asked instead.

“I am hoping to find her in a day or two. But I am concerned about you.” He turned his back to me, and I couldn’t see his eyes. A strange combination of sensations took hold of me with his words. First I was delighted, and then I was just plain devastated. How the hell would I be able to stay awake? Shit! I am not going to be able to and then…

“I will be back before each nightfall to help you sleep, of course. Then I will return to the hunt the next morning,” he interjected, as if reading my thoughts. My heart leapt with gratitude. “Would you be able to help the others in the gym while I am searching?” He finally looked at me.

“It’s difficult,” I replied. Kasadya was always bugging me and then the others would soon be here bugging me too.

“Please, for me.” His pleading had my heart jumping.

“Okay, I’ll try, but if they start bugging me, I am out of here.” My eyes roamed over his huge frame, his soft hair begging for my fingers to rub it.

“Fair enough, but please stay here. Try to assist them as much as you can. I don’t know if I will be able to find the other female, and we need your assistance.” He bent down and cupped my face in his hand, his eyes roaming over me.

“Why didn’t you just give the picture to them?” I breathed.

“Some things are personal and don’t need to be shared with everyone. I will not share what I have seen, Raven. I know trust is difficult for you, but I would like nothing more than to earn that trust.” His thumb rubbed over my lower lip, his eyes fixed on the action.

Archangel’s Desire (Archangels' Series, #1)Archangel’s Desire by Karen Swart
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Fans of the Kasadya Hellhound Series were introduced to Raven and know she played a pivotal role in defeating Lucifer in the last book. Archangel’s Desire is Raven’s story. The prologue immediately drops a bombshell about Raven and her “mate.” Before you have time to let that tid bit settle, you are taking a roller coaster thrill ride through Raven’s redemption. This book was a white knuckle read start to finish. I even threw down the kindle once in a “oh no you didn’t Karen” moment.

There is not much I can say about the story without including spoilers. Archangel’s Desire is a fantastic start to the new series from author Karen Swart in which the Angels and Fallen are trying to prevent the Seals from being broken allowing Lucifer to run the earth. Like her previous series, this one is action packed and appeals to both sexies. But unlike Kasadya also includes some hot, steaming Angel loving.

I loved the start to this new series and I cannot wait to read more!

Audiobook Review of Willow by Amy Richie

11/28/2016

I recently got into audiobooks and I am LOVING it.  I spend 2 hours a day in the car and it is a perfect way for me to relax.  Having already read the book I knew I was in store for a fantastic audiobook.  Check out my review of Amy Richie's Willow on Audible.

Rating:   Overall 5 Stars  Performance 5 Stars    Story 5 Stars
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?I would definitely recommend this audiobook to anyone who love a good young adult, action packed, suspense story. The story is very engaging from page 1.

Who was your favorite character and why?Willow was my favorite character because I loved her sass and determination. She may have been young at 17 to lead a pack but the girl was tough. Despite second guessing herself a lot, she really grew into the role as leader.

Which character – as performed by Sarah Beth Goer – was your favorite? My favorite character, as performed by Sarah Beth Goer, was Jed. I loved the art in which she conveyed his laid back character in his voice. It reminded me a little of Matthew McConaughey.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?I loved the end when its time to turn the pack over but Willow stands her ground and refuses. (Due to spoilers that is all I can say)

Any additional comments?I previously read the book as well so here is a snippet of my review.
Willow is seventeen when she is forced to leave her family and is thrust in a completely new environment and told to lead a punch of blustery werewolf boys. I see is as a learning experience for her. I enjoyed watching her take her place as the pack leader and adding order to the chaotic lifestyle the pack had been leading. This book was action packed and a definite page turner. I would definitely recommend this book.

Not a fan of audiobooks?  Grab the ebook for FREE.

"Being a werewolf is harder than it looks. Everyone thinks it's just morph at the full moon, kill, morph back. That's not true. It's a lot harder than that. Especially if you are 17 years old."

Willow has the worst luck. First she has to deal with her narcissistic foster mother, Bella. Then, of course, there's her horrid little sister Ivy; not to mention the pack of werewolves that belong to Bella. Now, they have to move and start a new school - again.

Just when Willow thinks things can't get any worse, Blake shows up from a council she never knew existed to name her leader of a pack she never knew existed. How was she supposed to teach a bunch of teenagers how to be wolves when she herself hated everything about her life?

BEND (Vegas Heat - Book One)BEND by Molly McLain
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I absolutely loved this story! Molly doesn't disappoint. The plot was great! Cop and his Captain's Daughter? What could go wrong :-) There was so much more to the story than just sex. Yes there were some pretty hot scenes but they didn't make or break the book. I can't wait to touch base with them again in the books to come! I also can't wait to read the other guys stories <3

About the Author
Molly
Like many novelists, especially romance writers, my infatuation with a good love story began early. I don’t remember exactly how old I was, but I’ll admit that Barbie and Ken acted more than a couple of the story lines I had in my head (sorry, Mom, but, no, not all of them were kid-appropriate). The obsession continued to grow as I got older and, whenever I left home, I always had a wire-bound notebook and a blue ballpoint pen in hand. In fact, every August, I still get that goofy, schoolgirl itch to buy up oodles of pens and paper, because, while I love my laptop, nothing compares to writing long-hand. If the house is quiet and there’s a thunderstorm rumbling outside, even better.

Not that I have the slightest a clue what a quiet house is anymore. Having three rambunctious (but awesome) kids, a zippy dog and a pesky cat has completely blurred my memory of peace and quiet. Oh, and I have a husband too–I call him the FisherGuy–and he’s probably louder and crazier than all the rest. I think I’ll keep him though. After all, he keeps me in fresh fish year-round (yum!) and he’s good hero material. Did I mention he’s also a firefighter?

We live in Northern Wisconsin and, let me tell ya, living here has provided lots of small-town fodder for this writer’s overactive imagination. Of course, I know no one who’s lived anything close to the steamy experiences I write about (not that I’d tell ya if I did *wink*). There’s something inherently sexy about not knowing what goes on behind closed doors…or even better, letting my imagination run free, concocting all kinds of stories and scenarios and putting them down on paper. Or my laptop.

Unspoken (The Lynburn Legacy, #1)Unspoken by Sarah Rees Brennan
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Unspoken ~ The Lynburn Legacy #1, is my introduction to Sarah Rees Brennan. I adore Kami. Kami is Nancy Drew on speed! Holy Cow her brain works in overdrive at all times. She truly exhausts me. This YA read has it all: mystery, murder, a super sleuthing teen, a love triangle, and amazing friendships. The story immediately grabbed me and pulled in. A definite page turner. I cannot wait to move on to book 2.

A modern, magical twist on the Gothic Romance and Girl Detective genres, this book will appeal to fans of both Beautiful Creatures and the Mortal Instruments series. Reviewers have praised the take-charge heroine and the spellbinding romance.

Kami Glass loves someone she's never met . . . a boy she's talked to in her head ever since she was born. She didn't spend her childhood silent about her imaginary friend, and is thus a bit of an outsider in the sleepy English town of Sorry-in-the-Vale. Still, she has a best friend, runs the popular school newspaper, and is only occasionally caught talking to herself. Her life is in order, just the way she likes it, despite the voice in her head.

But all that changes when the Lynburns return. . . .

I absolutely adore the Angela Panther series by Carolyn Ridder Aspenson.  The witty banter and laugh out loud, pee in your pants moments keep me coming back again and again to these stories.  Today I am spotlighting a novella from the series but I will include info on the other full length novels as well for those new to the series.  If you haven't picked these up, stop procrastinating and snag them up now!  Trust me!
Picture
This story is a Novella, not a full novel but is a stand alone from the series, as is each novel.
When psychic medium turned amateur sleuth Angela Panther teams up with her best friend Mel and celestial super sleuth—and her mother—Fran to help Detective Aaron Banner find a lost boy, the trio heads into ghostly territory they’ve never experienced. The mob and magic aren't part of the psychic medium handbook and the trio's not sure they'll make it out of this one alive. Well, two of them anyway.

This novella was originally published through InD’tale Magazine. The Kindle-only version includes deleted scenes and additional material.

In UNFINISHED BUSINESS AN ANGELA PANTHER NOVEL, #1 AMAZON bestselling author Carolyn Ridder Aspenson introduces her now trademark blend of witty dialog and hilarious banter in the first book of her hilarious and heartwarming paranormal chick lit, cozy mystery, Angela Panther series.

When Angela Panther's mother Fran Richter wakes her up in the middle of the night ranting about stolen Hershey Bars, Angela thinks her mother's got a screw loose. And then it hits her. Her mother is dead. Just a few hours before, Angela watched as the funeral home staff nearly dropped her mother's body off the gurney while sliding her into the hearse. So maybe she's the one that's nuttier than a fruitcake?

But Fran keeps popping in and with a volcano full of drama already brewing at home—crazy or not—Angela's grateful for her mother's presence.

It's the other ghosts Angela can do without.

Seems Fran's return opened a portal between Angela and the other side and ghosts are hitting up the reluctant psychic medium for help. From the naked British guy juggling balls in the coffee shop parking lot to the woman desperately trying to save her sick child, Angela must find a way to balance her own life with the unfinished business of the dead.

“If I need protection from anyone it’s from him.”

“I need to find a way to keep her safe without compromising my heart.”

OWEN HUDSON
I was hired to protect her. I was told to keep her safe, shadow her every move, and keep my eyes open at all times. He wouldn't tell me from what, or whom. He wouldn’t even admit she was in danger. It turns out, she is. So am I. Now, I'm falling for her, and that changes everything. I need to find a way to keep her safe without compromising my heart.

BLISS COOPER
I don't need a babysitter or a bodyguard. I can take care of myself. If I had wanted a roommate I would have one, and it wouldn't be him. He's too... intriguing. Stubborn. Sexy. If I need protection from anyone it's from him. He sees too much, knows too much, and the way he looks at me is causing the walls I've built around my heart to weaken. I need him to back off, but I want him closer.

WOW! This book grabs your attention right from the get go. I had a really hard time putting it down. It was a pretty quick read, sleep stopped me from being able to read it all in one setting. Start to finish it was packed full of emotions. I even shed a tear or two at the end. Can't wait to read more of Rachael's work. She is quickly becoming a favorite of mine.

I will start off with saying this is NOT my normal kind of book, but I loved it! Addie is the protector, she would do anything for her roommate Livvy. Towards the end I felt some confusion, and it seemed a little rushed, but it was still a good book. That ending though! Unexpected! Can't wait to read the next one.

I love this series! Sloan Murphy was a new to me author when I received a copy of Descent (Book #1 of the series) as a blind date book! I was hooked then! You should read Descent first so you know what is going on. This book starts right where the last ended. This would be a good read for anyone who likes YA paranormal, yes there is romance involved but nothing too bad :-) I'd say this is suitable for anyone 15+. I can not wait to read the 3rd one!

Sales Blitz ~ Carved in Cherry by Elizabeth Kirke

I am a huge fan of Elizabeth Kirke’s. Her More than Magic series awakened my love affair with YA. Kirke’s writing has a way of drawing you in and wrapping you up all cozy and tight from beginning to end. You will not want to put this book down. Those in her inner circle refer to her as #sneakilyobvious because she puts in all in her books. You, as the reader, just need to uncover it. Elizabeth Kirke’s books are the sort that you can read again and again with new discoveries each time. The woman is a GENIUS!

I found myself sitting on the edge of my seat from beginning to end. Creepy horror music rolling in my head; waiting for what lurked around every corner and then sighing with relief when nothing was there – most of the time. It is not a creepy horror tale but more so a suspenseful mystery. It hosts quite the characters as well. Rachel, Angie and Jo have inherited the antique store, the mysterious Peter who runs it, and Gus the fat cat, who appears to be more than just a cat. The Shaw girls are in for more than they bargained for when they arrive at Lydia’s Curiosities. Little do they know that their past and future is about to be brought to light as the power within them is discovered.

This book weaves together mystery, suspense, romance and magic as only Elizabeth Kirke can. Fans of the MtM series are sure to fall in love with her new series as well.
