Blurb:
Where Skies Fall is the scorching sequel of Where Oceans Burn and the final book of this epic, enemies-to-lovers romance set in a world where the people of the sea constantly battles those of the sky and a couple who might change the tide for both kingdoms – if they can survive long enough.

With these three tenets, we will live. With these three, we will fight.

Bravery. Breath. Brine.

Neera, Goddess of the Sky, claims the war will end in the place where oceans burn. God of the Sea, Talay, believes it to be in the place where skies fall. Yet battles unlike any our people have fought before still wait to be waged. Like it or not, Crest and I find ourselves caught in the middle.

He is The Shark, leader of the Guardians of the ocean. Sworn to protect everything in the salty sea below, his people stake claim to the Isle of Kehlani. As The Scourge of the Sky, I was once his mortal enemy. But he and his people took me in and showed me I’m worth more than the power surging through my veins. For the first time, I feel the sky might not be where I belong.

The great goddess Neera’s scale has tipped out of my favor. Now, losing the feathers in my wings is the least of my worries. It will take every ounce of my cunning and skills to rip myself from the grip of a cruel goddess who would see me cowed and caged. Talay has claimed me for his own, and for that, I am grateful. When the sky descends, thirsty for blood, I will fight. For those I love. For the life I crave. And for him… For him, I will sink the kingdom of the sky. I will drag Empyrean into the depths and delight in watching it drown.

Casey Bond lives on a rural farm in West Virginia with her husband and their two beautiful daughters. She writes phoenixes – gloriously flawed and morally gray characters that fiercely rise from the ashes of their circumstances. World building is one of her favorite hobbies, along with stamping metal jewelry, swimming, and enjoying the beauty of nature. She thinks thunderstorms are better than coffee and that watching a meteor shower is the closest thing to magic you might ever see. She’s a firm believer that every amazing book needs a world you want to wrap yourself in, a character you want to win, and a love you would fight for.

Casey is the award-winning author of When Wishes Bleed, Gravebriar, and House of Eclipses.

Haunted by the past, hungry for revenge,
Malaria Cain is slowly coming unhinged.
Luring her father out of hiding is her lone goal,
even if the cost is her eternal soul.
Yet darkness stirs at Crane’s Roost Inn,
causing Malaria’s sanity to grow quite thin.
A malevolent entity seeks to block her escape,
preventing her return home from taking shape.
Will her need for vengeance be her downfall?
Or will she break the Crane family curse once and for all?

My Review

Revenge at its Finest

Hauntings & Havoc is a macabre revenge filled ending to Malaria Crane's story.

For me, this installment had Nightmare on Elm Street meets The Shinig vibes. Wait, hear me out. There is a scene where Malaria falls through the hotel and into the boiler room. The room is a steam filled nightmare as the boilers turn on and she is confronted by the Dark Lady. With the clicks of her nails, I waited with bated breath for Freddy to pop up and slide his knives down a metal railing. It could have been the Elm Street marathon I had before reading this book. And hello, haunted hotel where the guests never leave. Be still my goulish heart!

Malaria Crane is a total bad a$$ and witnessing her unleash on her father was poetic justice. Bravo Rourkes!

in case you haven't heard Square bought Weebly. it was a nightmare accessing my website after the conversion.  This is a test to make sure my posts go active and you guys can see them. Here goes!

I swear I have not abandoned you guys. My life has been total chaos for a year now. Recap...

My mother in law moved in with us in October 2021. She broke her ankle in November 2021. Y'all, it was a nightmare! She went to a rehab facility where she was suppose to be exercising etc. The nurses doped her up on pain killers and xanax. She would have died if we had left here there. Fast forward, we brought her home, completed therapy in June. I guess the right foot was jealous cause she broke in the end of July. Thankfully we had a much better experience this time around. My MIL is doing well, healing nicely, and doing in home therapy.

With all this going on, I abandoned my passion. I haven't been reading much and there hasn't been an original blog post in quite a while. My hope, my prayer, is that I'll be kicking off a new look and lots of posts in 2023. I need to focus on my MIL's recovery for the time being.

I miss my book community. I miss you guys so much. I want to be reading and sharing my passion for books with you. Please pray for my family. Pray I get my reading mojo back, lol. I need it.

Until next time my lovelies!
