Amongst the Clouds, book 4 of James and Syvok’s adventures, is my new favorite. As compared to the others in the series, this one has a darker side. Their latest adventure stars Old Hag and her plot to steal Ranni’s cloud. It’s a fast paced, dramatic tale that brings back past characters like Helga, the troll, and Alex and Bethany, the two young dragons. Of course, no adventure is complete without Matthias. Amongst the Clouds is sure to attract new readers for author Wendy Nystrom. I cannot wait to see what James gets into next time.

We love author Alicia Michaels here at 2 Girls & A Book.  Alicia's Sharing Spaces series is laugh out loud funny, so relatable and a great, fun read.  Check out Book 2 Brat...

This was such a fun book! But full of emotion and growth. Chloe is full of attitude, spoiled rotten and more than proud of it. She has not time for love or relationships, has her friends and that's all she needs. Until she meets Chase on summer vacation. He annoys her so much, in just the right ways. They have an amazing fling and now it's back to reality.....until the summer fun follows you home. Chole may have met her match and is about to go for the ride of a lifetime. A lot of controversial and real life situations that really make you think about the choices we have to make in life. I was surprised with V-Card and loved it, and Alicia Michaels has done it again in Sharing Spaces book 2. Such sensitive subjects handled with such grace and yet so entertaining

SIGH.....it's perfect!! I loved this book so much! So many painful parts, but it was absolutely perfect and beautiful!! I adored Patch Up even tho it was so hard and painful to read what Skye went through, but I fell in love with Skye and Duke, so I could not have been more excited for this book!

Just weeks after tragedy struck and Duke saved Skye from the unimaginable, is where Fix Up starts off. They have so much to work through and the struggles and emotions they have to face and deal with will either break them or save them. So much emotion and strength and even weakness in the situations they have to overcome. I appreciate everything the author must have experienced writing this amazing, emotional and absolutely Fantastic book! And I love love love the way it ended. Perfect!! Simply wonderful.

Meet Tyler Rushing & Kacey Andrews.

EXCERPT:

Down the hall, I saw Gabriella, dressed in a white sundress with her long, dark hair pulled high into a ponytail.

What the fuck? Tell me she’s not knocking on Tyler’s door.

My stomach coiled into knots and I held my breath as I waited on whoever was behind the door to answer. Please don’t let it be Tyler. Slowly, the door opened just a crack and when I saw who was there I gritted my teeth tight, the pain exploding into my head. It was Tyler, wearing only a white towel around his waist. Blood boiling, I watched as he opened the door and she walked in, kissing him on the cheek as she passed.

Frozen in place, I clenched my hands into tight fists and felt the anger boil through my veins. Before Tyler shut the door, he stopped and slowly directed his attention to me. Immediately, he glanced into his room and then back at me, wide-eyed and shaking his head. “Kacey, no,” he shouted. “It’s not what you think.”

Turning on my heel, I glared at him one more time over my shoulder before taking off down the hall.

“Kacey, stop! Please, beautiful . . .”

I didn’t stop; I kept going. The last thing I wanted was to be made a fool of in front of everyone—possibly people who knew my brother and who could recognize me. Instead, I kept running in hopes of getting as far away as I could, away from Tyler’s voice screaming my name.

He looked like he was about to leave anyway since he was dressed in a black T-shirt and jeans with his bag slung over his shoulder. Quickly, I pushed him toward one of the doors. “I can explain, but first, I need you to get me out of here.”

“Is that Rushing calling after you?”

“Yes, now let’s go!”

Keeping his arm around me, he rushed me toward the door and out into the heat-filled night. What the hell was I going to do now?

Who We Were by Christy Sloat
This is Christy's forst YA Contemporary Romance and a bit of a departure for her.  This book is fantastic and needs to be read by the masses.

I tend to read under the radar books, Indie mostly.

Fallada from Alicia Michaels  Her descriptive tones make me want to lose myself in this world.
