RIVERBEND by Ciara Knight, Amazon Bestselling Author
Five years after the death of his wife, Dr. Mitchem Taylor is ready to share his life with someone. Only one thing stands in the way of giving love a second chance--the strictly enforced "no dating" rule. A rule that pierces his heart every time he thinks about his university assistant, Cynthia. When a handsome man shows interest in her, Mitchem must choose between love for his career or love for his beautiful assistant.
Since the day she saw her boss, Mitchem, care for his son’s knee at a little league game, Cynthia Gold has been in love with him. Pining away over a love she can never have forces her to make a drastic change—a new job thousands of miles away. But can she walk away from her life she enjoys and a boy who’s like a son, or keep her heart bound to a man who may never love her.
Ciara Knight writes with a ‘Little Edge and a Lot of Heart’ with her contemporary and paranormal romance books. Her most recent #1 Amazon bestselling series, Sweetwater County, has topped the charts and received acclaimed reviews. BLURB:

What happens when you’re attracted to the wrong person?

AIDEEN

I didn't expect to feel so drawn to my best friend’s father when I first meet him.

It’s unexplainable and most of all, it’s unexpected. He drinks too much, is rough around the edges, and is so obviously into casual sex and nothing more, but there’s just something about him that calls out to me.

I’ve thought my heart was battered beyond repair, but maybe I have been wrong.

"There was something so sexual, so carnal, so intense in the way Jensen looked at me.’’

JENSEN

She is my son’s best friend and I know he wants more, but I can't help it. Whenever she is around or her name is mentioned I’m turned on. I’m not used to denying myself to feeling so strongly for a woman so young, but she gets me.

I can’t do a damn thing to stop these feelings.

No amount of alcohol helps.

I didn’t think it could be possible to feel so drawn to a woman, but it looks like I have been dead wrong.

"I want her to want me just as madly as I do her.’’

They shouldn’t and yet…

They can’t resist each other.

*Warning! This book is for readers over 18 due to the frequent drop of the f-bomb and explicit sex scenes.

“Happily ever after is hers for the taking.”

Once upon a time I found myself locked away in Spindle Ridge Asylum, punished for a murder I didn’t commit. It was all part of Maleficent’s evil plan. I didn’t remember who I was then … now I do.

My name is Aurora, and I am the rightful queen of this realm. Armed with my memories, I’m ready to take charge of my kingdom once more. Happily ever after evades me, yet I long to claim it with my true love, Sawyer, beside me. That fairy tale ending seems impossible with him locked in the thralls of a sleeping curse. As much as I’d love to sit by his bedside and eagerly await a cure, I must first travel into the terrifying Dark Woods to stop Raven from stripping me of all that is rightfully mine. I am not only a queen, but a warrior who will fight for her kingdom. Some may die. Blood will be shed. But when this ending comes, I will settle for nothing less than a blissful ever after.

Cheree's 5 Star Review~
HO-LEE CRAP! This book is insane! In a fantastic way! This is one of those books that just when you figure it out (notice I said "when" not "when you think..."), you're wrong and it changes direction again! But not in a crazy you can't follow what the heck is going on way. Such a fantastic story! I swear Tara Brown has the most amazing mind and imagination! I couldn't possibly even try to tell what this story is about because of the crazy weird twisty story that has been woven here. But by the end of this story you are in awe of Jane and what she has been through and what she does. And I love Derek....Dash :) I love that this crazy story has an ending that leaves you satisfied and fulfilled, not empty and broken and sad, because throughout the entire book, that's the only ending that could be possible! And also does not leave you hanging but definitely leaves you wanting more, which the amazing Tara Brown has hinted there will be! If you are looking for a pretty love story that has some excitement, this isn't the book for you! If you are looking for a book that will blow your mind, this is it ;)

Cheree's 5 Star Review
I was so excited to dive back in to this crazy mind bending world with Jane! What crazy crap are we going to experience with her this time! I didn’t think it could get more horrifying then Blood and Bone. I laugh now, this is Tara freaking Brown we are talking about here! This woman’s mind is crazy scary LOL Right off the back you start the book in confusion until you realize Jane is in a mind jump. TB still manages to keep us confused, guessing and on our toes even though we now know this crazy game of mind jumping Jane plays. And as terrible as things are, because let’s face it, Jane is only involved in the worst of the worst cases, you still find moments of pure happiness and hysterical banter mixed throughout. We get to see a new side of Jane here too, a little bit of a softer side. We get to delve into her brain a little and see why she does what she does in the mind jumps and how smart her little brain is at putting the puzzle pieces together. The depth of the story that unfolds here is very intense! I can’t wait to read it again so I can that much more of the little clues hidden throughout. My husband is even sucked in and obsessed with this story and is upset he has to wait so long for the next book! :D

Meet the Author...
Split personalities? I won't rule it out.
A little crazy? Possibly.
Boring? NEVER!
I am the award-winning, international bestselling mystery writer, Tara Brown--but that's not all. Some days I'm the cook, others I'm the maid, but mostly I'm the chauffeur to my two darling girls. Oh, and I'm always the dog trainer and cat wrangler. And on some occasions, I fancy myself a bit of a con artist--I believe I have my husband convinced that changing kitty litter is bad for women.
THE QUESTION I GET THE MOST, WHY SEPARATE YOUR BOOKS BY PEN NAMES?
The reason I separate the names is because of the Young Adult following I have and new readers to me. Because I cross between adult and young adult, I have to have safe places for the young adult readers to find new books. Also, if you are just looking for regular romance or only like paranormal or erotica, then we have a brand just for you! Here is a breakdown of my genres and pen names--even I get confused.
TARA BROWN - My main page and essentially my brand. Books published under Tara Brown will be mostly suspenseful romance and mystery. Blood and Bone, The Lonely, and The Single Lady Spy Series are among those. Not all are intended for young readers. Crimson Cove Mysteries is a Tara Brown read, romantic suspense and mystery, and it is Young Adult.
Tara Brown writing as AE WATSON - My pen name for the majority of my Young Adult books. This is a safe haven. Here you will find, BORN, HERE, The Seventh Day, White Girl Problems, The Light Trilogy, Vengeance, etc. This is my page that is safe for YA readers of a mature reading level who enjoy a wide variety of genres. I do not write for people who don't like a little suspense with a lot of fighting and a heavy dose of sarcasm. Also there are love triangles and cliffhangers and other annoying things. I am a jerk when it comes to revealing all the answers at once. I like figuring out puzzles and assume everyone else does too.
Tara Brown writing as ERIN LEIGH - New Adult Romance and Chick Lit. Recommended reading age is eighteen and over, as there is some sexual content. If you enjoy reading other New Adult, you should be fine. But it is romance, romance, romance.
Tara Brown writing as TL BROWN - Adult Paranormal, Science Fiction, and Fantasy. TL IS NOT FOR YOUNG READERS AT ALL! These books are for the people who love Science Fiction and Fantasy. They are all Romance based but very paranormal or science fiction or fantasy.
Tara Brown writing as SOPHIE STARR - Adult Only Erotica. I like to call Sophie my porn handle. SHE IS NOT FOR YOUNG READERS AT ALL! I am ashamed but not enough to stop writing them, so more to follow I am sure.
Hope you have a great day and, of course, happy reading!

Amazon/B&N

Time passes, sins forgotten.
The bodies of the victims long since rotten.

Trapped within the essence of the Headless Horseman by the guilt of slaughtering her best friend, Ireland Crane follows the father of science fiction, HG Wells, in search of freedom from the curse that binds her. Instead, she discovers even he has a hidden agenda. A dark, relentless passion to be reunited with the woman he loves has driven him to manipulate time and a murderous Horseman.

Yet heed my warning, as the Raven flies,
The Hessian will come … and you will die.

All that prevents Ireland from abandoning Wells’ twisted pursuit, or introducing him to her sword, are the undead witches haunting her. Begging for freedom from a vile succubus, the ghoulish coven leads Ireland and her crew on a journey through Salem’s sordid past. There, they learn there is more to Nathaniel Hawthorne’s history than a scarlet letter, and the secret they’ve uncovered seeks to destroy them all.

Lynn's 5 Star Review
Steam just may be the best of the three in the Legends Saga. It combines 2 of my favorite things, Sleepy Hollow and the Salem Witch Trials. Rourke does a fantastic job weaving two very different tales simultaneously into one. Steam is a poetic nightmare. It weaves a dark, twisted, and vile tale that underneath lies a beautiful love story. HG Wells will do anything to get back the wife he lost to the city of Roanoke. Noah is battling the Hessian within Ireland to claim back the woman he loves. Al Steam just may be the best of the three in the Legends Saga. All while the story of Preen Hester and the Salem witch trials is being woven in. The entire story plays out before the reader in heart pounding fashion. My pulse quicken, my breath caught, my knuckles whiten with the intensity of the each page. I could not look away.

Fans of the Legends Saga will not be disappointed in Steam. The charming, yet frightening Ireland Crane does not disappoint. She is my favorite returning character in the series because despite being host to the diabolical Hessian, Ireland is witty, spunky, and you have to root for her. Preen’s story is tragic. There is no good way to spin it. She was played liked a fiddle and her fate was sealed from the beginning. Her story adds the perfect twist to the story.

The Legends Saga is the stuff of nightmares and Steam is the scariest of all. How does such an adorable little pixie like Stacey Rourke come up with such things? After completing Raven (Book 2), Rourke was quoted as saying “writing about Poe took me to some pretty dark places, I had to write Adapted For Film to lighten things up.” So I ask you Mrs. Rourke, after writing this nightmarish tale, how do you bounce back? Should we expect unicorns and rainbows in your next story? I think most of your fans will agree we need a little something light hearted after living through Steam.

Cheree's 5 Star Review
I thought the last 2 books were mind blowing….This series seems to get so much more beautiful and creepy and twisted! I love how all the different stories are tying together.

Steam starts out with a bang! Starting with Preen, a sad scene to walk into of her saying goodbye to her mother. Witches in Salem a couple hundred years ago, then back to Ireland in the present time. Ireland is not in a good place after the end of Raven and killing Rip, she is not taking it well at all. Ireland and Wells are on a mission to find Peyton, but nobody but Wells really understand why. And let the crazy begin!!! As this story starts to unspin its web for you, your mind is literally blown! The crazy darkness and twists and turns of the characters and their actions! Seriously, where the heck does Mrs. Rourke come up with this stuff! I found myself completely horrified, but laughing and loving it! Laughing my ass while horrified by the tragedy of the story line...what a strange yet wonderful combination.....I found myself holding my breath waiting to see what was going to happen next! The ending tho….ohmygosh, heart wrenching and beautiful! I can’t wait to read this one again!!

HAVE YOU SEEN THIS GIRL?
Author: Carissa Ann Lynch
Series: Flocksdale Files #1
Publisher: Limitless Publishing
- SYNOPSIS -
Wendi Wise is a troubled young woman who snorts her breakfast through a straw and spends more time in rehab than in the real world…

Her life is seemingly out of control.

But now she has a plan.

That plan involves a sharp set of butcher knives.

She's going back to where all of her troubles began…

Flocksdale.

Wendi was lured away from a local skating rink, at the age of thirteen, and held captive in a place she calls 'The House of Horrors.' Dumped off blindfolded on the side of a dirt road, Wendi soon discovered that she was addicted to the drugs they fed her while she was captive.

Too scared to go home, and having a new habit to deal with, she hopped on a bus, vanishing from the family she loved.

Vanishing from Flocksdale…

The town of Flocksdale is littered with fliers with a grainy image of young Wendi, and the words 'Have You Seen This Girl?' written below.

Now, eight years later, she's on a mission—a mission to find the mysterious house from her youth and the monsters who dwell inside it.

“This is the end, beautiful friend, the end…”

- PROLOGUE -
Present DayI lost my straw three hours ago, which sucks because it was my favorite one. Getting up to look for it seems like a painstaking, insurmountable task right now, but I pull myself up to a sitting position and swing my legs over the side of the bed. The “bed” is nothing more than a dingy, rust-colored mattress that lies on the floor of a two-room basement apartment in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

The threadbare carpet that covers the floor provides no support for my feet, and frankly, it stinks. I get down on my knees and lay my face flat against the carpet, holding my breath and peering under an ancient, stained armchair and the dresser that stands beside it. Now, where the fuck is that straw?

All I can see are dust bunnies, mouse droppings, and the carcass of a cockroach. No straw. I let out a frustrated groan. I give up searching, stand back up, and pad across the hall to the tiny bathroom I share with my current boyfriend, Michael, or “Mick” when he thinks he’s cool. I plop down on the toilet, running my hands through my tangled mop of greasy black hair.

I wait for the pee to come. Then wait some more. I can remember one of my old AA mentors, telling me once why opiates interfere with bodily functions like peeing, for instance. It was something about wires in the brain getting crossed…I wish I had a stopwatch to time this affair, but then it finally comes and I let out a sigh of relief.

Mick’s clothes from the night before are strewn across the bathroom floor at my feet. Suddenly I have a thought, and begin rummaging through the pockets of a brown pair of khaki shorts that I remember him wearing last night. I find what I’m looking for: a tattered black wallet, worn out from age and being sat on all day long. I open it up and peer inside. It only contains two dollars, but that’s fine by me—all I need is one.

Pulling out the faded, crumpled bill, I smooth it flat against the round edges of the wash basin. Once flattened, I begin slowly rolling it into a perfectly cylindrical mini-version of my straw. It’s basically perfect.

The dope is in my bedroom drawer, along with my razor. Using the tiny blade, I lovingly chop the heroin until it is fine and powdery, and then use the rolled up dollar bill to suck it straight up my nose. Its taste hits the back of my throat instantly and drains down through my sinuses, a sensation I used to loathe but have grown to love.

Wiping the residue from my nose noisily with the back of my hand, I glance at Mick, who is still passed out on the bed. Getting high makes him sleepy, but it fills me with an insatiable need to do something productive.

Our bedroom is dotted with tiny land mines of crumpled t-shirts, inside-out jeans, and day-old panties. I make my way around the room, picking them up and tossing them all into a wicker laundry basket in the corner.

Besides the bedroom and bathroom, we have a small, windowless sitting area, a narrow galley kitchen, and a small extra bedroom that we use for trash and other random items. I move my cleaning to the living room, gathering up snack wrappers and empty Solo cups, and then carry them into the small silver garbage can under the kitchen sink. The sink is filled to the brim with two-day-old dishes, so I start filling the sink with water and shampoo.

I’ve been out of dish soap for weeks now, but the hair care product seems to get the job done so I don’t complain. The water from the faucet never gets hot because our gas got shut off months ago. If I want hot water, I have to boil it. This all sounds ridiculous, I know. This is the twenty-first century, but my addiction has me back in the Stone Age, because when you’re an addict, you don’t spend money on things like food, water, clothes, electricity…you spend it on drugs. At least the truly hardcore addicts like me do.

Crusty teacups, sauce-covered plates, and sour-smelling utensils permeate the water, rising steadily to the brim. I plunge my hands into the frigid, cloudy water and begin mindlessly washing.

For the past six months, our daily life can be divided into three segments: looking for money to buy heroin, finding the drug, and then getting high. Oh, I almost forgot about the fourth segment: coming down from the drug—my least favorite time of day. Our entire life revolves around heroin and our bodies rely on it to function. It’s not about getting “high” anymore because I never feel lifted or high-spirited, or overly anything these days. We wake up feeling low and we need it to feel normal. Maybe they should change the expression to “getting normal” or “avoiding feeling like shit,” instead of “getting high.”

Today will be different though. Today I have a date with my good friend rehab, and in six hours from now, my daily routine should change dramatically. Mick isn’t going, but I’m fine with that. He’ll do his own thing when he’s ready. I’ve been planning this for a month now, and finally the phone call came: a bed opened up at the local in-patient clinic and today is the day to report.

I’ve been to rehab before, and will mostly like go again after this stint, but everything is about to change. This time around, major plans have been made for when I get out of rehab.

Those plans involve me and a sharp set of butcher knives, but I’ll explain that later.

Perhaps you’re wondering how I got this way. Or perhaps you don’t give a damn. Either way, this is my story. It’s not a story about addiction. This is a story about murder.

- ABOUT THE AUTHOR -
CARISSA ANN LYNCH

Besides my family, my greatest love in life is books. Reading them, writing them, holding them, smelling them…well, you get the idea. I’ve always loved to read, and some of my earliest childhood memories are me, tucked away in my room, lost in a good book. I received a five dollar allowance each week, and I always — always — spent it on books. My love affair with writing started early, but it mostly involved journaling and writing silly poems. Several years ago, I didn’t have a book to read so I decided on a whim to write my own story, something I’d like to read. It turned out to be harder than I thought, but from that point on I was hooked. My first and second books were released by Sarah Book Publishing: This Is Not About Love and Grayson’s Ridge. I’m a total genre-hopper. Basically, I like to write what I like to read: a little bit of everything! I reside in Floyds Knobs, Indiana with my husband, three children, and massive collection of books. I have a degree in psychology and worked as a counselor.

THE SONG REMAINS THE SAME
Author: Kelli Jean
Series: NOLA's Own Series, Book #3
- SYNOPSIS -
Phil
“Kenna stood strong, taking my grief into herself. In that moment, if the world had truly threatened to fall, I had no doubt my Baby Girl would hold it up.”

A pillar of strength, Kenna only grows stronger as time passes. I’ve known from the beginning that I was the weak link between us. Always, she’s risen above and beyond the darkness of the unknown that threatens to suck me down. This time…I’ll have to crawl out of that darkness on my own.

Kenna
“What we have—the kind of love we share—comes at a price. The universe demands it. It’s not free, and it shouldn’t be.”

So many souls make up the fabric of the music. Thousands upon thousands of years, millions of eyes and ears, hands and hearts have seen, heard, created and felt it. There’s only one who sings to me, and in the face of the unknown, I watch him lose the language of the soul. The pain and loss for Phil is so great, I have no way to bring the symphony back into his being, as he has done for me so many times.

Within me for now, for always…The Song Remains the Same.

- ABOUT THE AUTHOR -
KELLI JEAN

Born and raised in Miami, Kelli Jean traded the tropical heat for the arctic. Now she deals with twenty-four hour daylight in the summer, zero sunlight in the winter, and believes the Northern Lights make up for the mind-boggling amount of ice and snow she has to put up with for seven months out of the year. She’s surrounded by mountains and ocean and sheep, and claims her bizarre sense of humor is what keeps her sane. The insane don’t know they’re insane. Kelli uses her imagination to create worlds she can escape to from the mundane tasks of everyday life, such as washing the damn dishes and vacuuming up Legos off the floor—and don’t get her started on the mad amount of cat hair on the end of the couch. She gave up on that a long time ago. When the household goes to sleep at night, she writes down everything that happened in her head while doing such tedious chores. But she enjoys living in her own head, so that’s pretty cool. Technology terrifies her. She can barely turn on a computer, and was completely shocked when she’d actually written a book on one. To this day, she has no explanation for this baffling mystery. It took her three years to realize she can take screen shots of messages and pictures of bearded, tattooed men with her phone. Now that she’s mastered this task, her phone is slowly dying, and she’s nervous that she’s going to have to buy a new one and it will take her another three years to learn how to use it.
