Once again Kristiana Sfirlea has hit a home run. She has a talent for weaving a complex, magical, and somewhat horrifying tale of granny snatchers and killer teddy bears. Yeah, you read that right! I'm feeling relieved that at my age most of my stuffed animals are packed in a tote in the closet. Save for a few precious ones on my bookshelves, but they would never... Would they? I digress.

I love that while LOTRE is a fun, adventurous, and wild ride, at the heart of it this story is about family (not just the blood ones), friends, and faith. This is the perfect series to read with your kids but is enjoyable enough for adults too. I seriously want to visit Mapleton and eat rigor mortis ice cream at the Two Parlors. Maybe minus the Scare Bears though.
