To be extraordinary was a fate Arie Belle had never imagined. Her days had been filled with naïve pleasures and promising love, but all that changed one tragic day when her mother was killed under mysterious circumstances, plunging Arie’s life into dark and hopeless times where her lifelong friend, River, was her only beacon of light.

After years of numbness, a beautiful stranger, Ashe, entered her world and took her soul to places it had never been, across realities trapped within the worlds of fairy tales. Could he be her savior, or would she find the strength within to be her own?

Along her journey, she quickly unraveled the secret behind her uncanny connection with nature and her mother's killer. But one mystery remained—one of scripted destiny and the pull of the dark forces of life. Could she find the answers she needed before the next full moon? Or would death claim her as it had been painted in the fate of the stars?

Title: The Other P Word
Author: MK Schiller
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Hosted by: Lady Amber's Tours
Blurb:
The Other P-Word blurb Suffering from a dark past, he lives his life with passion but no purpose. She planned everything…except him. Billie Price has always had a plan for her life. On the surface, it all appears on track. But there has always been something missing. Even though she has a purpose, there is no passion to fuel it. Then she meets a mysterious stranger with a dark past. Except Evan Wright is all kinds of wrong—the tattoo-clad, guitar-strumming, Harley-riding modern day drifter is definitely not the right man for her. Yet she finds herself drawn to him and The Lost Souls’ Club—the eclectic bar where he works. As all her carefully strung plans unravel, Evan is there to comfort her. As their attraction grows, Billie can’t resist the temptation, even though Evan will leave in the fall. At least they have all summer together, not to mention the man knows how to narrate the perfect sex scene for the book she’s writing. But as she crashes into Evan’s world, Billie has to ask herself—can passion prevail when there is no purpose? Reader Advisory: Warning—this book contains one raunchy tattoo-clad musician who can rock his tongue as well as a guitar!
Publisher Note: This book is part of a series but can be read as a standalone novel, as can any of the books in the In Other Words Series.
In Other Words – the series blurb There are some words that a woman must overcome to find her own happiness. For the women of the In Other Words series, each girl has to struggle through the obstacles of her scary word to accept the love of the hot, handsome man that awaits her. Every woman deserves to be loved for who she is, but will these girls be able to get over their fears to accept the commitment of forever so they can have a life of passion and belonging?
Join Marley, Emmie, Stevie and Billie, as they tackle their words, and find out with the help of a supportive family, some awesome tunes, and plenty of humour, a woman can do just about anything!  So pull up a chair, enjoy some dessert with us and let’s start dishing!
I am a hopeless romantic in a hopelessly pragmatic world. I have a full time life and two busy teenagers, but in the dark of night, I sit by the warm glow of my computer monitor, reading or writing, usually with some tasty Italian…the food that is!
I started imagining stories in my head at a very young age. In fact, I got so good at it that friends asked me to create plots featuring them as the heroine and the object of their affection as the hero. You've heard of fan fiction... this was friend fiction.
I hope you enjoy my stories and always find The Happily Ever After in every endeavor.
I love hearing from readers so please write to me!

Teaser 1
He set the drink in front of me and poured one for himself. “Did you come to see me?”
“Sort of.”
“Are you going to tell me you just happened to be in the neighborhood?”
“Would you believe I got on the wrong bus?”
“Sometimes you can get on the wrong bus and still manage to get off at the right stop.”
Teaser 2
A partial groan…almost a growl halted me.
“Howdy neighbor,” he said.
“What the hell, Evan. You can’t just barge in on me.”
He grinned, kicking the door so it opened all the way. “Your door was ajar.”
I stomped over to him. “It’s not a jar. It’s a door.”
“Funny. What are you? Six years old?”
“Sometimes. I can’t believe you spied on my slutty dance.”
“Did you do that at the club the other night?”
“No. I only do it in private.”
“That’s good because your private dance is liable to cause a lot of public hard-ons.”
“You’re pretty gross.”
“And you’re pretty.”
“Pretty what?”
“Just pretty.”
Teaser 3
I cleared my throat. “My turn - what’s the craziest sexual thing you’ve ever done?”
            He chuckled softly, probably recounting the event. “I let a girl drive my bike and then I made her come.”
            “That’s not crazy.”
            “While she was driving it.”
            My mouth gaped. “That’s so dangerous.”
            He shrugged. “We had our helmets on.”
Teaser 4
            “You planning on coming in or you just gonna keep undressing me with your eyes?”
            I shook my head and cleared my throat. “In all fairness, you’re not wearing much to begin with.”
            He leaned toward me, his voice dropping to a whisper. “Then why the hell is it taking you so damn long?”
Teaser 5 (naughty)
            I couldn’t finish because he started then. He stroked me with that tongue and every time I got used to a movement, he changed it up, causing me to cry out again. He held onto my legs, keeping them spread. I fell back on the bed, falling, falling, falling apart. He hooked each of my legs over his shoulder and sat up, lifting the lower half of my body with this. I watched him eating me out like he was hungry for me…starving. And I don’t know if he meant it to be instruction, but it sure the hell was the most erotic thing I’d ever seen. His thumb gently pressed on my clit and he inserted another finger, while his tongue still thrust inside me.
            He peered at me, his eyes blazing.
            Evan may have been part porn star and part rock star, but in that moment, a new nickname surfaced above all others. Evan David Wright was….The Pussy Whisperer.

blurb

“Don’t fall in love with me. I ruin beautiful things.”
Love made him this way, but life makes him stay.
Life doesn’t give a redo. There’s no rewind or pause button to take you back or stop time. Once something happens, it happened. The most tragic of those times in his life, the ones he wouldn’t get back and the moments he could never fix, reminded Demyan Avdonin of a bullet meeting glass.
The impact of the bullet doesn't break the glass into pieces, but instead, leaves behind a single hole surrounded by a spider web of cracks. Fragile cracks that, when handled with the utmost care, would splinter into shards of what used to be.
Demyan thought he had been broken beyond repair once, four long years ago.
He was wrong.
She touched the glass, unknowing of the cracks holding him together. These are the broken pieces of a shattered man and the woman who made him live.
Life made him this way, but love makes him stay.

excerpt

Something was happening to him, and it was because of her. He was letting it happen because he liked the way she got under his skin, made him think, and forced him to feel. Even if it wasn’t always fucking pretty.
Demyan wasn’t sure how he felt about that other than the fact he didn’t want to think about it at all. Hooking up was one thing, but acting cozy was completely different and not what he should want.
“Demyan—”
“Don’t,” he forced out.
“But—”
Demyan turned on his heel, a hand flying up in the air to stop her from saying another thing. He made a swift beeline for the front door, grabbing his jacket off the back of the couch where he tossed it the night before.
“Demyan!”
At the front door, he tugged on his coat before yanking on his shoes.
“Demyan, please just wait a second,” Claire pleaded. “Please!”
Her cry sliced him straight down to the fucking bone. Like it ached in his heart because he was the one making her hurt. She was just feet away from him. Christ, he could reach out and touch her, soothe her if he wanted, but he couldn’t.
“Don’t do that,” Demyan said sharply, standing straight and trying to force back the rising anxiety and anger.
Claire snapped away from him as if he’d stuck out at her with his hand. “Do what?”
“That.”
“I don’t understand wh—”
Demyan waved at her. “That right there. This can’t be something. We can’t be something. Don’t do that.”
“Demyan, you’re freaking out over nothing.”
No, he wasn’t.
There were tears in her eyes. They weren’t falling, but they were there. She was hurt by his rejection, and he didn’t know how to handle what was going on inside his head and heart. So, it was pretty goddamn simple for Demyan. He needed to stop whatever this was before it went any further. Straight for the kill, like any good monster would do.
“Don’t fall in love with me. I ruin beautiful things.”
Claire flinched. “Why would you say that?”
“You can’t fall in love with someone like me and you certainly can’t afford to believe there’s something here or that you can make me better again. I am broken—unobtainable and unfixable. I don’t need a fucking martyr in my life. I’ve got enough of those as it is.”
“Ouch.”
“Just … don’t.”
“Fall in love with you.”
“Exactly,” Demyan muttered.
“Why would you say that?” she repeated.
Wasn’t it obvious?
“Claire—”
“Why would you tell me not to fall in love with you and then in the next sentence, call me beautiful?”
Because she was.

Loving Red – Broken World # 3
by Alisha Costanzo

Audience: New Adult - Genre: Paranormal Romance - Format: E-book & Paperback - Publisher: Transmundane Press - Cover by: Karri Klawiter - Editor: Anthony S. Buoni - Pages: 183 - Expected Date of Publishing: 09.09.2015

blurb

For Sergeant Severins Bouvier, silence means tactical planning and a large death toll, and he can’t shake how danger threatens him on the beaches of Miami, especially after seeing one of his associates in a local sandwich shop. Worse, the enemy seems fascinated with the woman he can’t stop thinking about—a woman determined not to trust him.
Everything about Sev crashes through Kaia’s carefully placed boundaries, traps, and avoidances. Regardless of her lack of interest in the majority of men, the ones that did catch her off guard left a lot of collateral damage. Who better than a soldier to understand that?
The problem is that she trusts him. Just not with her heart.

excerpt

“Something feels different about this place,” she said, voice soft but spreading across the grounds like an earthquake.
“It’s protected. That’s what you feel.”
A short, frail-looking male swung open his front door and appeared on the square wooden porch. His skin marbled like the bark of an old oak with tints of green. Long and wide eyes assessed Severins and Kaia before his gaze slashed to Kaia’s vampire friend, Kalib. The performance was rather dramatic.
“You said one—a single, human female. Human. That is not human.” The dryad’s twig-finger pointed to Severins with further flair.
“We were lacking in our information. The wolf is no harm to you.”
“No harm. No harm!” His hair sprouted green and miniature ivy fell around his ears. “At best, he’ll piss on my plants. At worst.” The small man’s voice squabbled high and fluttered through the leaves above. “At worst!”
Kalib rolled his eyes, and Severins shook his head. Kaia, however, seem entranced with the dryad’s tirade.
“Eilon. Fucking wood nymphs. Eilon.”
“Oh no, sir. You can stay in your pretty little metal box for that.” Eilon slammed his door again in a giant huff.
Kaia jerked and came back to the small clearing. Her eyes took on a darker green in these woods. “He did not like either of you very much.”
“Tree-folk aren’t group friendly unless there’s a ceremony or an orgy, although they’re practically the same thing to them.” Kalib pulled two long swords from behind his seat—long enough they shouldn’t have fit back there. He strapped them into holsters hidden beneath his loose cotton shirt. “I’ll take first watch.”
“Dryad’s don’t like wolves too much—territorial and all that. Piss in the wrong part of the woods once, and it’s like you killed their elder.”
“Did you tinkle on one of his plants?”
Severins snorted in delight at hearing the word tinkle come out of her mouth. “No, I’m house-trained, beautiful.”

Sales Alert ~ Christy Sloat's Who We Were

I adore sharing my love of books with you.  I rarely rave so much about a book that I demand you read it.  But today I am doing just that.  One of the best books I read last year was Who We Were by Christy Sloat.  Her diehard fans know and love Christy for her paranormal and fantasy books.  Who We Were is a definite departure from that, but I implore you to give it a shot.  You will not be disappointed.  Fans who have followed Christy since The Past Lives series will see Christy’s growth as a writer, get a peek into her life as teenager, and  get to know her daughter whom the character Kyleigh is loosely based on.  Who We Were is so much more than just a YA Romance.  It deals with alcoholism, abuse, friendships, first love, and reinventing or rather rediscovering one’s self.  This story speaks to all ages.

 “Who we were had washed away with the summer. Who we are was yet to be seen.”
Summer school at Alcott High was only supposed to gain Sadie Peters extra credit, nothing more.
Her  goal wasn't  to make friends, or gain the attention of the most popular football player, yet
 she managed both.  Her life was cruising along on course ... until that summer. Could a simple s
tint in a different school change her identity completely and introduce her to love for the
first time? How would that affect  her relationship with Lily, her best friend? Hopefully their
 friendship was strong enough to make it through the tumultuous summer. Sadie learns
 that great things come with change, but sometimes  memories of the past are hardest to part with.

~~~Author Interview~~~
Picture
1.  Where did the story idea come from for WWW?
I was actually in the middle of writing a completely different story when the idea came to me. I was laying in bed thinking about how when I went to summer school before my senior year, it really changed me. And that was that. My story was born. Sadie’s character came first. And I didn’t even know there would be two male characters until I was in the middle of writing the book. Things can happen like that when you don’t expect it.
2.  How did you design such a beautiful cover?
I was lucky enough to meet a photographer who lives in Georgia. I wanted the models to be real teens who weren’t stock models. She did a private shoot just for the cover and within a few weeks, we had the shot. Then, from there the designer made it into the cover you see today.
 3.  One of the characters in the book is named Kyleigh after your daughter, does the fictional character share any qualities with the real one?
Yes, she shares a few qualities. Kyleigh in the book has hearing loss and my Kyleigh does as well. I wanted to have a diverse character who wasn’t like every other teen girl. Of course my Kyleigh is only nine so I’m not sure what she’ll be like as a teenager, so I had to use my imagination there. My Kyleigh is gentle and kind and so is book Kyleigh. She’s everyone’s friend and I wanted that to stay true in the book as well.
4.  Contemporary romance is a new genre for you.  Can your fans expect more of this?
Yes absolutely. I love writing Paranormal and they can expect more of that in the future but writing contemporary romance was so much fun. I will continue to write both.
