When I read E.M. Rinadli's debut novel in 2016 I knew she was had something special. She ensnared me with the Prologue in Evading the Dark. I devoured the follow up, Hiding till Dawn. Then Rinaldi tried to kill me with the final installment in The Cross Chronicles, Chasing the Sunrise. If you follow the series then you know that despite their unbreakable bond, Casey and Cedric have a trying relationship to say the least. This final installment tests them like no other. I cried. I screamed. I messaged threats to the author. This book put me through the ringer! The feels. OMG the feels. ~ lynn

MY REVIEW

Jo Cassidy's small town of Willow Marsh houses quite a lot of secrets and it is difficult to know whom to trust. Tessa must rely on her heart and her gut to survive this creeptastic tale of tragedy, magic, and love. I could have easily read this book in one sitting but alas, I was forced to sleep and work. The plot twists are gnarly in this thrilling suspenseful ghost story. Another 5-star performance from Cassidy!

Brooke held his gaze, her mouth gaped just slightly like she was going to say something. Or like she wanted him to kiss her. Did she?

He wanted to feel her sweet lips on his. To stop thinking about the past kisses and experience the real thing again.

Dylan took that to mean she wanted the same thing. He leaned forward.

E.M. Rinaldi lives in Charlotte, North Carolina with her boyfriend, Milz, and their slightly psychotic pup, Boone. By day she is a Registered Radiologic Technologist taking pictures of mangled bones and by night she writes about all the bizarre situations her characters get themselves into while she was away.
