Genre: Romance; New Adult
Series: The Patricians, Book 1

You don’t realize when your life is about to change forever, how a simple text can tear your world apart.
Esme Danvers doesn’t have an easy life but at least she is loved by her widower father...or at least that’s who she thought he was for 17 years. Enter William Forbes, top 10 of America’s one percent and her actual father - or rather the father of Esmeralda Forbes, the girl she was born to be, the heir to a legacy she’d never known or wanted.
Esme’s thrown into a world of glamour and money, smoke and mirrors, hate, pain, and unspoken rancor. A world with a distant, calculating, and uncaring father; Archibald, a brother who hates her; and Caleb, his best friend, who is as wicked and mean as he is beautiful and charismatic.
Caleb, this broken boy whom she can’t seem to hate enough to keep him out of her bloodstream, a boy who doesn’t seem to hate her enough to stay away.
But as the past reveals itself in ways Esme didn’t expect, she finds herself in the middle of a swirl of lies, betrayals, conspiracy, and even murder, with barely anyone to watch her back.
The only thing she really wants is to get back to being Esme Danvers, to find a way out before it’s too late.

Interview with R.G. Angel

  1. Was a possible audiobook recording something you were conscious of while writing?
No actually and thank god for that because let me tell you that listening to the sex scenes I wrote make me blush terribly!

  2. How closely did you work with your narrator before and during the recording process? Did you give them any pronunciation tips or special insight into the characters? I worked very closely with my narrators. We had regular meetings to discuss the books and yes we had guides and we discussed characters. For example Antoine is French and my narrators wanted to know if he had a faint accent etc… What helped a lot was that they both LOVED the story and therefore were really invested in making it as good as they could. I am truly honored to work with them.
  3. Were there any real life inspirations behind your writing? Lord no, it’s maybe a good thing that my life is not as chaotic as my heroines bless them. The only character which i would say is a bit like me is Alessandra from Lovable - she is a geeky lawyer (okay 100% guilty as charged here)
  4. How do you manage to avoid burn-out? What do you do to maintain your enthusiasm for writing? Well working full time as a lawyer and writing is time consuming but writing has always been a passion of mine so I see it more as an escape than anything. So I think that it’s writing that is keeping me grounded and helping me to avoid Burn-outs :)
  5. If this title were being made into a TV series or movie, who would you cast to play the  primary roles? Oh I love that question! Esme would be Alexandra Daddario - Caleb would be a young Alex Pettyfer from Beastly he fits him to the T - Attitude and everything. I see Archibald as a young Robbie Amel (in The Duff)
  6. What do you say to those who view listening to audiobooks as “cheating” or as inferior to “real reading”? This is elitist and frankly incorrect. Reading is reading and audiobooks force you to use your imagination without any visual stimulus so it is a form of reading;  those people are just narrow minded.
  7. How did you celebrate after finishing this novel? I start the next one!
  8. What gets you out of a writing slump? What about a reading slump? Ah a writing slump is always frustrating. When it happens I take a couple of days off - trying to get my mind off of it or I jump ahead on the story and write a scene that amuses me hoping i’ll get back in the mood. As for reading slump I go and reread one or two of my favorites it usually works.
  9. In your opinion, what are the pros and cons of writing a stand-alone novel vs. writing a series? Umm. What I like about Standalones is that it allows you to visit something once and you don’t get bored - You get diversity but sometimes you realize that you may have had more to say or side characters to develop but you have to settle.  What I enjoy when I write a series is I get to develop the world in unexpected ways. For example when I started The Patricians series I didn’t expect Antoine (one of the side characters) to capture my heart and then I knew I had to share his story. I like this element and it is the same here in The Cosa Nostra series I’m working on. I have three books to develop the world and I’m excited! But it is true that sometimes you can get a little bored or tired of a world and want to try something else.
  10. Have any of your characters ever appeared in your dreams? Yes, I’m working on a steamy Mafia standalone series right now and I have to admit that Luca, Dom and Andrea are haunting my dreams these days…..;)
  11. What's your favorite:
    1. Food - Cheese!
    2.  Song: Oh that’s a tough one! It all depends on the genre but I do love Show Must Go on by Queen.
    3.  Book: I can’t pick one sorry! I read too much all the time.
    4. Television show: I am TV addict I can’t pick but here are a few of my favorites: Buffy, Schitt’s Creek, Psych, Charmed, Friends, House Md….
    5. Movie: Shawshank Redemption, The Other Guys and quite a few more.
    6.  Band: Queen
    7.  Sports team: The team with the hottest guys? Ah sorry I don’t watch sports.
    8.  City: I don’t have a favorite city - I would like to explore the world but I do dream to visit New York one day.
  12. Are any of those things referenced in appearance in your work? Yes! Schitts Creek, Queen and cheese, lots of cheese lol.
  13. What bits of advice would you give to aspiring authors? To not give up and follow your own path. Don’t compare yourself to other authors out there. Some will hit it big after one book, others after 20 - It’s your story you’re living - the plot is different but it is still a success. Just write and see how it goes.
  14. Do you have any tips for authors going through the process of turning their books into audiobooks? Make sure you research the market and the indie publishing behind audiobooks as it can get quite complicated and is quite different from the books market. I was lucky to be working with very experienced narrators who helped me understand the market better and make informed choices.
What’s next for you? I am working on a Mafia series Book 1 - Broken Prince will be released on March 31st and I can’t wait for you guys to try it. These guys are everything!
About the Author: R.G. Angel

I’m a trained lawyer, world traveller, coffee addict, cheese aficionado, avid book reviewer and blogger.
I consider myself as an ‘Eclectic romantic’ as I love to devour every type of romance and I want to write romance in every sub-genre I can think of.
When I’m not busy doing all my lawyerly mayhem, and because I’m living in rainy (yet beautiful) Britain, I mostly enjoy indoor activities such as reading, watching TV, playing with my crazy puppies and writing stories I hope will make you dream and will bring you as much joy as I had writing them.

"We are called soulwanderers. We belong to someone in the human world. Or more precisely; they belong to us. We can live without them, but they can’t live without us."
Melerina lives in an isolated land in a world hidden under water where magic has long been forgotten. Her people fear everything outside their borders, including the burning sun that rises above the surface.
Melerina and her best friend, Tahika, encounter three evil spirits from a forgotten time and are brought to a new land far away from their home. They discover that everything they used to believe in is a lie. Melerina is indecisive by nature and would prefer to run and hide from the evil around her, but she has to find her courage to face an army of soulless men, the loss of her loved ones, and the burning sun that threatens to kill her.
Everything that is, and everything that once was, leads back to the dark magic that changed the world. Melerina has no idea how important the magic hidden inside her is if the good has to defeat the evil. About the Author: Tina Wittendorff Mortensen
I was born in Denmark in 1996. I've always had an interest in writing. When I was in school, I already started writing short stories in the 3rd grade. My imagination has always been wild, and I was dreaming of becoming an author one day. That dream came true when I in 2017 published my first novel Nordbyen. Nordbyen was very different from the genre I used to be drawn to; fantasy has always been very close to my heart, but Nordbyen was an important story that needed to be told. Now I was getting started, and the idea for the Soulwanderer series came shortly afterward. As soon as I started writing Soulwanderer, I would often dream about the book at night and include these dreams in my stories. I'm happy to finally reveal what I've been working on for 3 years.
Like many other authors, I also have another job and only write in my spare time. I am a language teacher and have worked in both Hong Kong, Australia, and Denmark. I'm currently living and working in France. Experiencing different cultures and meeting all types of people has been an inspiration for my writing as well. I feel very fortunate that I've seen different parts of the world. It makes it easier to create a fantasy empire in my books.

When I met Riley Giddens I never expected this incredibly sexy man with colorful tattoos, smoldering eyes, and muscular body to own my heart. He’s part of Shattered Souls MC and they are trouble. Riley is careless in life, heartless in bed, and twenty years my senior. Still, I can’t stay away. I’m sucked in by his deep voice, demanding touch, and possessive ways.

When Federal Agent McKay shows up at my door, I’m up against a wall. I'm too deep into a world I want to avoid. Riley promises me he’ll handle it. He’ll keep me safe at all costs. This protective side of him only draws me in deeper and scares me more.

He’s in danger. Dealing with a dirty federal agent is one thing. Doing it without the knowledge of your club is something else entirely.

Riley’s need to protect me just might destroy us all in the end.

Picture

Author: Cheryl Denise Bannerman
Narrator: Sandra Murphy
Length: 3 hours 8 minutes
Publisher: Cheryl Denise Bannerman⎮2020
Genre: Cozy Mystery
Series: Anna Romano Mystery Series, Book 2
Release date: September 26, 2020

This story doesn’t have just one murder; it has TWO murders…Once again, Anna charms readers with her witty and candid commentary. This was definitely a juicier case than the last one. - Sandra’s Book Reviews

In this second installment of The Anna Romano Mystery Series, Anna gets herself into a mess that lands her in hot water with the prime suspect and her new Bo, Detective John Solace.
Their new romance was going great, when all of a sudden, a simple trip to the grocery store turned into a wrestling match between two scorned women. Piquing her interest for a juicy story, Anna’s snooping to find out more about the seemingly ‘innocent’ love triangle, catapulted her into the middle of a murder investigation.
The murder weapon of choice? A red stiletto…conspicuously pointing the police in the direction of a female assailant. No one knows whether the adulterating husband killed his wife to avoid a costly divorce, or if his mistress killed her in a fit of jealousy and rage. While the detectives are convinced the husband is the ‘killer’, it seems Anna’s faith in his innocence may be in vain, as additional bodies, and mistresses, keep piling up.
Meanwhile, Anna’s publicist, Shirlene, tries to convince Anna to leave the detective work to the police, but, as usual, falls on deaf ears. In the end, not even a pan of lasagna and a neighborly smile could save Anna!
Find out in A Bloody Stiletto, Cold Lasagna, and a Bestseller if Detective Solace will be able to handle Anna’s crazy antics, or if he will make her vow to stay OUT of the realm of ‘Murder and Mayhem’ once and for all.

Review

Book 2 was definitely saucier than the first. Throw in an influential family, a mistress,  a public tantrum, and you've got yourself a scandal! Be still my heart.

Bannerman created a series filled with homegrown characters that I want to know. I love Anna.

Murphy does a great job bringing the story to life.

About the Author: Cheryl Denise Bannerman

Cheryl Denise Bannerman is an award-winning, multi-genre author of six self-published books. She is the winner of the 2018 Book Excellence Award for her book of poetry, Words Never Spoken, and winner of the Best Books Awards in the category of African American fiction in 2020 for Black Child to Black Woman. She is also a Semi-Finalist in the MLC Audiobook Awards with a 2020 IMDb Nomination for Book 1 of the Anna Romano Mystery Series, Cats, Cannolis, and a Curious Kidnapping.
Within the author's first three works of fiction, Black Child to Black Woman, Words Never Spoken, and A Killer's Reflection, the author addresses critical topics of social concern, such as alcohol and drug addictions, racism and bigotry, domestic abuse and violence, suicide, and child molestation.
In her latest releases, a cozy mystery series entitled the Anna Romano Mystery Series, she hopes to provide relief from a somewhat somber world and spread laughter and smiles with the main character's witty humor and 'unintentional stumbling' over dead bodies and into murder investigations.
Her goal in life is to keep writing and continue helping victims of Domestic Abuse/Violence, Grief and ANON family groups, and Corporate Health and Wellness groups, to heal through words -- encouraging them to 'write the pain' via journaling, and expressing themselves through short stories, songs, and poetry.
She currently resides in Orlando, Florida, where she runs her 25-year-old Virtual Training and Development company, specializing in Instructional Design and eLearning.
In her spare time, she loves to read murder mysteries, attend museums, watch movies, try new cuisines, shop with her daughter, and take in the sun on the beach. And, although this author's works are fiction, she has incorporated many of her personal life experiences into their stories.

About the Author: Callie Bardot
Give me a gritty story, pushing through obstacles, followed by a chance at true love and I'm a happy woman. I fought for love, long and hard, and found it. Along the way, I had a lot of fun, figuring if something exists to be explored, I may as well explore it. How else can you figure out what you like?
My books have won awards like Romance Reviews Reader's Choice New Adult Erotic (Blurred Lines) and have landed on the NY Times and USA Today Bestseller's list, as well as #1 Amazon bestseller categories. If I'm not writing, you can find me under the water, scuba diving, or on land, hiking, saving lives as an EMT, or exploring my breathtaking surroundings in the Pacific Northwest, alongside my sexy, firefighting guy.

About the Narrator: Jonathan Tratar
Making funny voices has always been something I have done, to an almost compulsive level. I would emulate cartoon characters, parents, teachers, politicians, ect. Then focus shifted to martial arts, rock climbing, just other passions and whatnot. In all honesty I feel as though I was lost for a few years. No direction. I then got into the modeling and acting industry. Almost three years as a model/actor, of middling success, before I decided to have a go at being an agent. This move went very very well. Two years later, unfulfilled, I quit my job, bought a mic, and haven't looked back since.

Publisher: Michael Scott Clifton⎮2020
Genre: Paranormal Romance
Release date: Dec. 17, 2020

A beautiful witch with a violent past has an unlikely love affair with a compassionate young doctor...until she fears she may end up killing him.

Tressalayne is a member of a murderous witches’ coven. An attack by witch hunters forces the coven to escape through a hastily constructed portal of magic. Ripped from her medieval world, the portal hurls Tressalayne and the coven’s leader, Morganna, into present-day East Texas. Critically injured in the passage, Tressalayne awakes in a hospital with no memory of her previous life.
Lucas Beckett finds himself in charge of the mysterious patient’s recuperation, and soon develops more than just a medical interest in her recovery. However, their blossoming relationship is marred by Tressalayne’s nightmarish flashbacks and uncontrolled manifestations of magic.

Can their life together survive this collision of past and present? As Tressalayne’s struggles continue, other threats emerge to loom over the young couple, and the stage is set for a final confrontation.
Murderous intent, or love and devotion? Only one can survive, and the Janus Witch must decide.

"Michael Scott Clifton weaves and casts a magical spell in his fantasy romance The Janus Witch. A must-read for any fantasy romance, urban romance, or paranormal romance enthusiast!" (Ranay James, author of the McKinnon Legends, a time-travel series)
