My Review

My rating: 4 of 5 stars
I don’t know whether to be impressed or scared at the mind of Lucian Barnes. Desolace is definitely not what you would normally find on my TBR list, However, it did incorporate many of the things I like to read about – serial killers, ghosts and teenagers.
Desolace is a great introduction to this series. We start with a serial killer on the loose in Misty Hollows. When the ghost of one of his victims contacts Katie, she and her friend Julie get too close to the truth. Then when Julie goes missing, Katie is thrust into a parallel world in search for her bestie.
While Desolace does incorporate a thrilling paranormal side, this book is not for the faint of heart. With that said I cannot wait to see where this series takes me.
