2015 Year End Review ~ Lynn

Another year has come and gone.  2015 was filled with great memories, exceptional books and fantastic authors.  Chatting with you guys and sharing my passion for reading is just the icing on the cake.  I want to take this time to highlight some of my favorite reads from 2015.  Reviews and buy links are included.  Please comment also on some of your great reads that I may have missed.

Debut Author : Michelle Jetton

Michelle Jetton's debut novel, Amelia & The Secret of Stoney Manor, is Harry Potter meets Sabrina the Teenage Witch.  Michelle knocked this one out of the park and I cannot wait to see where this series takes me.

Favorite Author: R.K. Ryals

I love everything about this author. Whether she is writing a kiss ass battle in Hell or the bond between a dying parent and his child she chills me to the bone.  Her words flow and ebb like a river twisting to the sea.  She truly speaks to my soul.  She makes all The Feels.  I usually ugly cry and take stock of my life while reading her words.  And while I would generally stay far away from this type of work, somehow she just makes it all right.  I connect to her words more so than any other author I have read.  Stalk her too and see what I mean!

Favorite Book: Hawthorne & Heathcliff
By R.K. Ryals

Hands down it has to be Hawthorne and Heathcliff  by R. K. Ryals.  If you follow me then you know contemporary novels are my least favorite read, but Regina rips the feels from me without my permission.  I laughed.  I cried.  Let's face it I ugly cried with snot running and all!  But in the end I was so glad I read this book.

Favorite Mash Up: Stacey Rourke's
The Legends Saga

Legends Saga  weaves the works of Irving, Poe, Hawthorne and Wells into 3 ah-mazing books!  Its a refreshing new twist on the Headless Horseman tale as only Stacey Rourke could write it.  It's dark & twisted but loaded with that Rourke wit and banter that I love.

Favorite Duology

I have followed Christy Sloat's career for years. From her fist book to now she has grown into an exceptional writer.  The Slumber Duology is a twist on the classic fairytale, Sleeping Beauty.  But never fear.   This is not your momma's fairytale and has a Grimm style feel to it.

Surprise Read

This year I discovered the Life & Death Saga by D. Love.  I devoured it in a weekend.  It was a unique and original paranormal romance loaded with action and twists and turns.

Favorite Series

I am loving this new series from Tara Brown.  The Crimson Cove Mystery is full of twists and shocking moments.  Just when you think you know "who done it"  you get blindsided with a curve ball.
